He's a step up from what they had, but somehow it's doesn't worry me, we need to get our own house in order anyway.

If Wade's gone, Shanahan wasnt the only quality candidate anyway.

Some people act like he is.

I want the second Jimmy Johnson era, the Jason Garrett Era or Wade Phillips succeeding this year and him continuing his reign.

Shanahan off the market helps me.

We probably won't get a strong HC because of our stronger owner.

Not too many yes men out there that are worth their salt.

Amen.

If there is a new coach you can depend on him being a meaningless puppet. I doubt Jerry is going to change.

May be the only time in history that there will be a joyous and merry time at the household of a fired head coach. The Zorn's is the place to be!

Can't imagine how happy he will be to get out that black hole.

As per ESPN's Mike and Mike in the Morning, Mike Shannahan is now interviewing with the Washington Commanders.

This has to make Jerry Jones very nervous if he had Shannahan on his radar if/when Wade Phillips is fired. :bang2:

Good.

Any time the Skins do something like this, it always amounts to a crappy team. Every two years, there's always one thing they do that they believe will make the difference.

But the constant is Snyder; he's still there, so therefore, nothing will change.

This whole scenario reminds of when they signed Gibbs, Spurrier.....still the same team now as they were then

The other constant was Cerrato.

He being gone is huge.

And compared to the rest of the miserable Snyder era, the Gibbs years look like a dynasty

Snyder's epic fails have been when Cerrato has power and there is a coach with no NFL HC experience (Spurrier and now Zorn)

Marty and Gibbs actually worked to a degree. Of course Danny stopped having fun with Marty and the Gibbs years were mixed

2 playoff apperances and a playoff win :laugh2:

The question no one has asked is, could Wade end up being his DC and face us twice a year? There are ties and mutual respect.

I doubt Shannhan touches their current Defensive staff. He doesn't have any reason to.

IMO, this is Wade's last stop. He's got more than enough money now and he's nearing 70...

That is a good question. I suppose we'd keep it close and then score quickly at the end of the half's when he reverts to prevent mode.

Shanahan was pretty mediocre once Elway retired...I dont see anyone like Elway in Washington

Jason Campbell or Jimmy Classen dont bring images of Elway?:laugh1: Seriously while Shanahan would be an upgrade from Wade, I dont think he is the coach to take this team to championship level. Lil Danny made a good move bringing in Allen, but like Jerry he will still meddle and mess things up.

To acknlowledge the Commanders recent front office changes, I suggest that we go there next week and stomp a mudhole in their pathetic butts and wish dan snyder a merry Christmas. :D

That and he can get fired, instead of quitting, and get a nice little bundle of cash from his contract.

Does this mean Jim Zorn will become available? Maybe we can replace Garrett with him for the next 3 weeks or have him out there kicking FG's. Heck, maybe have him out there at safety or either tackle spot. I'm willing to try anything at those spots right now. :laugh2:
