From drunk speed racer to contrite player in the hands of Michael Irvin.

It looks like the rusty Josh Brent might really be coming to Valley Ranch after all. Shame on Jerra.

He made the biggest mistake of his life. I doubt anyone knows that more than himself....If he has rehabbed and paid his debt to society, he deserves a second chance....everyone does

I'm arguing that Red J is a hypocrite for preaching RKGs RKGs RKGs and then bringing in McClain and Brent. Next you'll be telling me it was a Jerry move. Won't that be convenient?

One might argue that Christ was wrong for taking in a Judeth as well...but who was it that murdered early Christians, and then was converted? Thomas? The most beloved of the group.

Loyalty in the trenches is the final view...not bear in a mug viewing from a special room in the stadium.

No one wants to bed with a criminal, but sometimes, the stinch is only in the nose of an observer as well.

I'm pretty sure they don't allow religion to be discussed. You have it wrong anyway.

got a question for all those talking about how important it is that Brown's m other forgave him. What if she wanted him in jail for the rest of his life? Would you be quoting that as often?

Interesting point.

He does deserve a second chance.
And Cowboy fans deserve players wearing the star who have not commited felonies.
BTW: Life is not fair. It was not fair to the victim or his family. I am sure that J Brent will find that out, like many of us half.
It wold be a great world if we could, after a monumental mistake, just restart life and go on with ourn professions. Six months in jail? that's for someone who walked out of a Walmart with a power tool without paying.

Simple answer, since a legal stance is the requirement, would giving her standing be reinforcement of a legitimation process? NO, but one can listen to ensure justice is given full opportunity. Then wisdom is involved with available selections on the table.

The unthinkable? It's only unthinkable if you don't live in reality. He has the right to work, and the NFL is a business. So deal with it or find a new team to root for. I hope he plays again he has a goddaughter to provide for. If he doesn't have a career who is going to support her?

He can go play football for another team and support his goddaughter. The Cowboys are desperate though due to their poor decision making and drafting so they will bring him back. Such a shame.

The one he is most qualified to do. Nothing more than anyone would hope for in this situation no matter what job they did. Should an Accountant, who killed someone drunk driving be forced to work for McDonalds for the rest of his career?

Very good point I never thought of it like that.

There would be a lot less forgiveness going around if Brent took out a star player instead of a fringe guy on the team... Lets be real the majority of his fan support is due to him possibly helping the team and it has nothing to do with forgiveness or already paying his debt to society... That is the way the NFL rolls no need to sugarcoat it haha

I stopped reading at "and I wasn't going for a Biblical reference"

There is reason for that without ignoring historical relevances. Care to discuss that? You are placing restriction upon the stated reason, of conscience and arrogance, when displayed as you did. Not as you framed intent.

Care to take it where I presented it...role of a conscience in social interactions. And then, the built in and recovering from punishments, that are a part of a judiciary system, whether you wish to look into the subject or not.

I also hate the KKK, but their Grand Poo Pa was once located in Cave City, Ky...but having a legal right.

Or maybe you would also ignore the truth to legal rights as well?

Yea, sugar coat prejudice...and back to the 60's....yahoo. But raise a pinkie finger when one is stooping behind stereotypes on a board.

You above living in the world where personal commitments are the final determination of worth?

As I said earlier today your posts never make any sense to me. So yea your posts are always challenging just trying to figure out what heck you are talking about.

Stay away from Law School...it even deals with personal advantages with directional implications, but under the law.

Give with one hand but take with the other...look, anyone who is a criminal is not allowed to come into my home. Simply, but in a commitment to a legal way of life, a second chance is just that.

At least this fan is glad that Jerry Jones has the cajunas to be able to give support and turn around football player's lives. I'm not going to hide behind name calling to cheapen that effort.

That is a great act, and one of human compassion. But for the record here, no man is left behind on the battlefield...and that applies to life as well.

Simple enough?

Thanks for the advice. I'd need to use GPS to find any law school. Not an interest. Or a need.
