@JaredDudley619: Breaking News!!! My sources tell me Lebron will announce that he will be goin to the NY KNICKS tomorrow on ESPN.. This is serious.. WOW!!!!

@OGOchoCinco: #OCNNBREAKINGNEWS *Empire State of Mind* *wink* *wink*only the smart folk will put this together and figure out what i am talking about #6

@Ian_OConnor: #LeBron James in contact with Carmelo & Amare last night, according to an ESPNNewYork.com source. Carmelo pushing #Knicks hard.

I subscribe to Investors Business Daily, and I noticed today that Madison Square Garden (MSG) was #1 on the their list of stocks up in unusual volume trading FIVE TIMES its normal volume. Made me go hmmm....

I still think LeBron is going to sign with the Cowboys and take Roy Williams' roster spot.

@RicBucher: Never tweeted LeBron was in Mia. A source said he was. Passed it on to the mothership. Made a 2nd call, told he was in Akron. Killed report.

LbJ and Kobe byrant should never be uttered in the same sentence again. James is so insecure he know has to come down here and ride the coattails of Wade and play second fiddle.

If LeBron signs on with Miami he's pretty weak.

It's him telling the world that he can't lead a team to a championship so he has to latch on to other to win one.

Magic. Jordan. Bird. Kobe. Duncan.

Those guys would never do this.

LeBron's new nickname if he actually goes to Miami.

Third Wheel.

Lebron is staying at Allan Houston's house in Greenwich, CT. (at least thats what it look like from the pictures and what was reported) Allan Houston used to be a Knick and was in the meeting between Lebron and the Knicks to help convince Lebron to join the Knicks.

The press conference is at the Boys and Girls Club in Greenwich. ESPN who obviously have been clued into who it is, keeps reporting everyone but the Knicks, saying the Knicks only have a 20% chance. Chris Broussard nor J.A. Adande can't keep a straight face when they say it's not the Knicks. ESPN without questions wants this to be a huge surprise since it's happening during a 1 hour special on ESPN so they aren't going to let the cat out of the bag no matter what.

Lebron says he is in the area for Carmelo's wedding, yet Carmelo's wedding is happening in New York City, not Greenwich. At that, it's not happening until Sunday, yet he is here in Greenwich several days before hand. Granted Greenwich and New York City aren't that far apart (I commute through Greenwich on my way to work everyday), but I promise you. If you're coming to an event in the city, you will be staying in the city. Not at someones house in Greenwich who tried to recruit you to their team that you are then going to reject on national TV.

Several sports related celebrities have already hinted that he is coming to NY.

Before this year, he used to always hint he wanted to play in New York. Then in his last year of his contract, he stifled that talk only to say: "It would be a great place to play". (for obvious reasons)

Lebron wants to have a big man join him where ever he goes. Ilgauskas is at the end of his career, Shaq is old and no longer a Cav, and finally Lebron wants the money and not split the spotlight which is something he can't do in Miami. Whats left? The Knicks (money and big stage) and Amare Stoudemire (a big man to join him)

Obviously Lebron hasn't came out and publicly who he is signing with, but I would extremely surprised if it wasn't the Knicks. When this started, I guessed (not really predicted) Bosh to Miami with Wade and Amare and Lebron to the Knicks. Not because I knew something, but because they sounded like the best fit for each player. Bosh wants a happening nightlife and to play with a big star. Wade already enjoys that nightlife. (says he is a family man, but his ex-wife says the Miami nightlife did in their marriage) Miami was the perfect fit for both Bosh and Wade.

Lebron's ego wants money, biggest stage, and a big man to play with. Amare wants the same thing. The Knicks were a perfect match for both.

I don't care who's on the team... LeBron ain't no third wheel.

If he does go to Miami, I think it says Wade is going to take a backseat.

I'm with you.

Wade would take a backseat to Lebron. Lebron is more talented and physically superior. Though if I were building a team to win a championship, I would take Wade over Lebron. The drive to win is more important than a little more talent. That is what made Kobe and Jordan so freaking good. They had both extreme talent and an immense drive to win. Wade has talent and a drive to win. Just not as much talent as Lebron. Lebron's drive to win would fit in a napsack.

You're crazy. Wade already has the ring and is established here. Lebron is admitting he can't get it done alone. Wade ain't taking a backseat in his house.

Doesn't matter if Wade's established there or not. Think Wade could have had an hour special on ESPN re: his signing with the Heat? Yeah right.

I'm not saying it's right, but LeBron is not going to take a backseat to anyone.

And no one can do it alone. LeBron has known that for years. Which is why he always threatened to leave CLE if they didn't get him the right help or the right coach, etc.

I'm not a heat fan. I'm telling you Lebron is going to have to check his ego at the door. The pecking order is Wade, lebron, bosh. Wade is homegrown, meanwhile lebron is an outsider.

Eh? Wade is from Chicago not Miami. ;) Lebron was homegrown in Cleveland. :laugh2:

You know that it's being held in Greenwich, CT because ESPN controlled the entire thing, right?

The only thing that LeBron and his camp have control of with this thing is his actual decision. Everything else is being controlled by ESPN.

Greenwich is about an hour away from Bristol, and is right outside of Manhattan where the NBA studios and such are. ESPN wasn't about to fly to Akron, or to Miami, or anywhere else for this. LeBron has to come to them. Don't read too much into it.
