Ways Dallas could win the division:
Philly loses to SF, Dall and NYG. Dallas loses to Miami or Buffalo but wins everything else. Dallas has tiebreaker on division record.
Philly loses to SF, Dall and Seattle or Arizona. Dallas loses to Miami or Buffalo but wins everything else. Dallas has tiebreaker on strength of victory.

One thing that is funny is that there is no functional difference as far as the division for Dallas going 14-3 or 13-4 as long as the additional loss is to Miami or Buffalo. Philly HAS to lose 3 games including to Dallas. Whichever combination of losses it ends up being gives a 13-4 Dallas team the tie breaker.

Eagles can lose to SF, Dallas and Seattle in seattle
..yep, true. Then they have NYG twice, Cards. Dallas still has Mia, Buff, Det, Commandos.

Dallas would have to win out or lose just one. Its possible.

Anything is possible of course, but There is very little chance we win the division because of the Conference records of us and Philly. Philly can lose to both SF and us and still win the division even if we both end up 14-3, because they are currently 6-0 and we are 6-3 against the conference. After our game Philly plays the Giants twice, AZ once and Seattle in a Seattle. Not saying there isn’t a chance of course but it is less likely than I was thinking before I looked at the tiebreakers. So for Dallas to win the division we really need the Eagles to lose 3 out of the last 6. The Arizona game killed us.

If both 14-3: records would be the same. Head to head would be split. Division record would be the same. the only thing I’m not sure about is the record in common games which would be the division tiebreaker before conference record but after using the “playoff simulator” it appears that would be tied or in their favor.

That AZ loss is killing us

Isn’t this the same SF team Philly buried last yr. Buffalo had a shot at helping Dallas but ….5 seed means opening the playoffs against the NFC South champ . I like Dallas chances .
Hmmm… the SF team playing with McCaffery as the QB!

Some inaccuracies here, but if Dallas wins out, they would win the division if the Eagles lost to the Giants in either of those 2 games.

Yes, we would open against the NFC South winner and assuming we win play Philly on the road and then the winner of the SF/Det 9assuming they both win) on the road. This doesn't mean we can't move on because the way we are playing we could win all of those games. Let's see how we do the next few weeks and se if the offense keeps rolling
Difficult to win playoff games on the road.

Home team wins almost 3/4 of the games.

Simple odds calculator for 3 road games:

1/4 x 1/4 x 1/4 = 1.5 percent

It’s more like we are no worse than the 5 seed- there are still plenty of ways we could be the 1 2 or 3 seed

If Dallas loses to Detroit, Miami or Buffalo OR win out, they get the division if Phil loses to NY once on division tie breaker. I think we are saying the same thing. A loss to NY by Philly gives the division tie breaker to Dallas as long as Dallas doesn't lose to Washington.

If Philly loses in Seattle, Dallas would win the division based on common opponents. This is all assuming that Dallas wins out and Philly loses to SF and Seattle. It would not come down to conference record where Dallas loses that one.

There are a few unrealistic scenarios where Dallas and Philly end up tied and this is where the importance of the Seahawks game comes into play. Losing to Arizona really put a damper on things. Do not bank on any scenario where Philly loses to the Giants, they won’t.

Nothing's over.

Wouldn't shock me at all to see Philly lose another game after Week 14.

Seattle's in the playoff hunt and will be at home.

Cardinals suck but Kyler gives them a chance.

Giants suck but this DeVito kid is doing okay, plus they get 2 cracks at it. Philly (like Dallas) has absolutely owned the Giants in recent years, so I'm sure NY would love to help spoil their season.

Eagles lost to Zach Wilson's Jets, and they've been squeaking by teams all year (even bad teams). Any Given Sunday.
