Sounds about right. We do need him but nothing wrong with not playing if you can’t.

He should have sat last year at times when he insisted on playing.

Just hope the injury isn’t worse than we know. Can’t stand the dude and his act but again, we need him to help carry the load if this team is going anywhere this year.
I'd rather rest him now and get him as healthy as possible for December and January then play him this weekend. Pollard has proven more than capable of letting Zeke get healthy.

I'm salivating at the idea of Tyron and Zeke being healthy and effective going into the playoffs.

Makes sense considering he has a knee injury, and the surface is going to be hard and get worse as the temperature drops.
Not an optimal condition for a running back with a knee injury.

So Elliott is the one who dictates his playing time? The coaches have nothing to do with it?

The lunacy that fans have when they don’t like a player is insane.
Oh I can’t stand him, but that has nothing to do with it.

If Elliott wants to play but the coaches are iffy, what do you think Jerry is going to do to break the tie?

So, you're now saying that Jerry is the one who determines whether Elliott plays, not Elliott?

You're all over the map.

This is a very smart idea, they want to avoid what happened last yr. That was when Zeke was a shell of himself playing injured. I wouldn't be opposed of resting him until after Thanksgiving. Healthy and fresh legs down the stretch would be ideal.

Not nothing, but they were clearly dumb enough to allow him to choose for himself whether he could play or not last year. Looks like they have smartened up this year.

Ollison is the closest back up to Zeke and what Zeke does on this roster.

What does Zeke do on this roster? And you can leave out the pass blocking thing as I concede that one. Anything else?

What do you not understand, I said that Ollison is the closest replacement on this roster for Zeke.
Do you believe that Davis upgrades Zeke?
I know that Ollison doesnt, but he is closer than Davis in doing what Zeke does.
This should not be difficult, nor confrontational, but I know you love that game.

Best move is to rest him, save him up for December and January. No reason why we cannot rush the ball with the remaining players.

NO its an honest question. Again you said "doing what Zeke does". What does he do?

As far as Malik Davis I have not seen enough of him to say if he is better than Zeke. If its 18 million for Zeke I definitely take Davis. I would take anyone over Zeke for 18 million. I have not been impressed with any of these practice squad backs over the last few years. Pollard to me is the only top back on our roster.

Good. Let him rest until he’s close to 100%.

As we saw last year, he’s a big detriment to the team playing hurt. I hope this was MM’s call. The team is more important than narratives like “Zeke is so tough, he plays hurt.”

Nah not really. There’s certain guys who are in the Jerry inner circle, and Elliott is one of them. If he decides to lobby to play he knows he can go right over McCarthys head.

If you’re looking to pick a fight, wrong guy.

I have no problem saying what I think but I don’t at all waste energy on trying to convince everyone else to think the same.

Oh your talking contract and money, I was over that before pre season ever even began, so never mind then, you are stuck in the mud still.
You are not understanding the relevance of the moment.

If cant answer a simple of what does Zeke do here, then we are in a full agreement. I cant answer it either.
