Sounds about right. We do need him but nothing wrong with not playing if you can’t.

He should have sat last year at times when he insisted on playing.

Just hope the injury isn’t worse than we know. Can’t stand the dude and his act but again, we need him to help carry the load if this team is going anywhere this year.
Nothing wrong with playing hurt if you can play well enough. He and Dak both played with injuries and were not effective enough.

If cant answer a simple of what does Zeke do here, then we are in a full agreement. I cant answer it either.
You know already what Zeke does here, do you really need me to explain that to you?
That would be like me telling you what time the sun comes up.
You can't drag me into that pointless drivel.

I'd rather rest him now and get him as healthy as possible for December and January then play him this weekend. Pollard has proven more than capable of letting Zeke get healthy.

I'm salivating at the idea of Tyron and Zeke being healthy and effective going into the playoffs.

Your and maybe 3 guys in the world are salivating over Zeke. LOL

You are nearly extinct.

YOu were the one that claimed he does things here. Im very curious as to what those things are. I assume you are talking about "doing them well"?

If you dont want to answer it, no problem. I will just assume you cant.

OK Roy, you want to play this game.
Let's leave the money and contract out of it if we want to be rational, but that is where you are stuck, I don't like the contract either but Im talking about what Zeke brings to the table now, this season.
What Zeke doesnt do is obvious, he will not give you 100 yds a game, hasn't had 1 game all season that he has done that and he probably will not.
What Zeke does is compliment what we have in Pollard that is one of the only true playmakers on this offense, and Zeke does that well.
How does Zeke do that,,, by providing the fundamentals that can wear down and set a defense up so that Pollard and his speed can exploit.
Do you think that Pollard can play that role if not for Zeke playing his role?
Zeke and Pollard both have a very symbiotic relationship in this offense, and they both are better players because of what they both do.

LOL.................how do you just ignore the fact that he is the highest paid back in the NFL?

The ONLY thing you said in that long rant was the you think Zeke wears down the defense for Pollard.

Cant wear down a defense if your averaging 4 ypc and punting. Pollard is the one helping wear down the defense last game by picking up first downs, scoring, moving the chains.

Pollard has the best game of his career without Zeke so I think that says something right there.

What Zeke does, any one of 30 other backs in the NFL can do. And they can do it for much much less.

Zeke does NOTHING that isnt replaceable. When Zeke is in the game the offense bogs down. Until they swap the roles of the backs, Zeke is holding back this offense.

Once in a while he will make a nice play here or there. Maybe he has a nice game here or there. Thats about it. We could certainly use a short yardage, bigger back to team with Pollard, but we dont need Zeke for that. He isnt good enough at it. And way too expensive.

Why do you keep bringing up the money, you are stuck in the mud on the contract.
It serves absolutely zero purpose at this point right now.
Pollard is a very dynamic RB, but he would be out of service by post season if he was the sole featured back.
There is no team in the entire league that does that,
LOL

No matter how you chop it up, Zeke’s production is that of a 5m power back. That’s useful for this team, he should obviously be used when healthy. But it’s clear that Pollard is the weapon that can win games carrying the ball and it’s his production that’s going to be hard to replace next year and if he’s missing games I’m more worried.

Just make sure we don’t give Pollard more than 15 carries according to the boards he’ll pass out and faint anything passed that…

Pollard is not a cow bell. Pollard is effective for 15 - 18 carries per game.
