Yeah, I was wondering the same thing.

My only thought was maybe they wanted to get some of the guys a few plays who may end up on special teams during the season.

Still, once they completed that 3rd down pass to get them closer I thought it was an easy decision for a 1st quarter preseason game to go for it.
