Yes Lance is playing with players who won't be on the Cowboys roster when the season starts. But is also equally playing against Chargers defenders who will not be on their roster when the season starts. So if we're going to use that to evaluate him then it must be used both ways. As he'll have to show consistency against starting defenses all regular season long if he is going to prove himself to be the answer at QB for the Cowboys.
