Quinn needs to do something schematically with that secondary. Teams are spreading the Cowboys out in nickel and abusing that unit.

Put Diggs 1 on 1 against the #2 receiver and double up the #1. Mix some zone in.

They can't continue bleeding to death from the opposite side of Diggs, mostly making no-name guys look like Jerry Rice.

Defense lost the game today. No pass rush and a make shift secondary. Not a good combo. Tank and Micah have to step it up. It’s on them. And Joseph isn’t a NFL CB.

Which has been the case for years. Why this has seemingly not been given any early round draft priority at any point in years amazes me. I mean they use high picks on the O-line and DE why not the interiorof the D-line?

I don't understand it either. It seems as soon as Dak came back and the offense took off, the defense has gone the opposite direction, and keeps getting worse. Now the pass rush, at one time tops in the league, has vanished. It wasn't long ago you were lucky to get 14-15-16 points a game against this defense. Anytime it was 3rd down and they had to pass, the other teams QB barely had time to drop back and he was being sacked by many different players from many different sides. What the hell happened? Quinn got schooled today by Pederson, totally out-coached.

Even in today's game, when the offense went up 14-0, it seems like the defense felt like they could relax and slack up and that the offense would just keep scoring for them. Which lead to the Jaguars converting an easy drive which lead to their first TD,

You should be concerned. The cowboys have a bunch of key players hurt right now. Brown and Lewis. Micah is banged up. Hankins is hurt. Dorance armstrong is hurt. Demarcus Lawrence is playing with a broken foot. LVE is hurt.


It’s not good. Sooner or later that many starters being out is going to affect the defense. It just is.

Absolutely, this will be why we see an early exit in Wild Card weekend. Not going to win many games when the D is giving up 34 points. Just horrendous!

Some will say it's because of the injuries, but the Jaguars had a couple of back ups playing on their OL today and the DL still couldn't get pressure on Lawrence. It's like teams have figured out how to counter Dan Quinn's pass rush and he can't adjust to that.

could very well be the case. Our one time position of strength is now a liability.

The flaws many claimed are being exposed. DT play sucks. It just does.

Besides the players that have gotten hurt lately, when is the last time we had a stud DT, or stud S? Jerry loves edge rushers and occasionally, LBs. Every year I want them to pick up a really good tackle or safety but they never do. The run D is an issue every year. Miller Lite sales are good though.

Look, this is no revelation. The Cowboys #1 issue with the D last year was the run D. They did little to fix it.

I still believe in this defense. They have their moments but we’ve got a good amount of capable dudes…especially now that they’ve sat Joseph.

One of the main issues is the QB turning the ball over constantly and putting the defense in compromising positions. The 49ers defense would cave if their QB consistently did that.
