Ditto.

I remember one kid in my class always wore his Miami Dolphins jacket and we'd fight all through recess.

My mom still has a Commander tobaggan like that, she used to put on my head when I was little. That thing made my head itch a lot.

Of course there was itching, it was a freakin deadskin hat.

That's like putting a garlic necklace on a vampire, rip that stinky thing off and throw it in the trash. :D

I pawned it off on to my younger sister (about 4 or 5 at the time) when I was 8 or 9.

Now its my 10 year old sister's (the youngest sister) problem.

Add me.

I remember wearing them to school the day after SB VI. To show how naive I was, I lived in Florida, but I couldn't believe that anyone would be a fan of any other team but the Cowboys.:)

I also had a Cowboy windbreaker I got for Christmas one year and I loved that jacket. I had it a couple of weeks and forgot it in a Mobile, AL McDonalds, where my uncle and I ate before going to the Senior Bowl. I was heartbroken. I still get sick when I think about that jacket.:(

I had that Cowboys jacket and hat as well. I'd wear it in the summer if my mom would let me. :D

I had the matching winter gloves as well as the school bag. Good ole Sears man I took a lot of ribbing on the school bus dressed in my Cowboys gear, Kids would ask if I had Dallas Cowboys underwear as well. ( nope but If I found it I would have worn it ! ) Talk about brain washed.

When I was a kid, the kids who wore the toboggans with the little snowball on top were the ones who got stuffed into lockers a lot... :D

Does anyone remember or have any info on this or even a picture of this jacket?!
Sorry, dude. I haven't seen your jacket. Where was the last place you saw it? Like I tell my kids -- if you put your things away you'll always know where they are.

I still wear that hat to every game. 25 years old and still going strong.

Man, that I loved that jacket. I had the knit cap with the ball thingy on top too. Some very fond memories indeed of the early 70s.
I had both the jacket and the hat too :) Though I hated those kinds of hats :)

Back in 1996 when alot of people were still asking "whats the internet"? LOL

I was only looking for any and everything I could find Cowboys related... I came across this custom jacket site. No ecommerce, just a few catalog designs.

I came across a handmade custom loog cut 5 time Dallas Cowboys Varsity jacket. Leather sleeves and varsity torso.

The price was $699.
I thought wow... its alot... but it was marked down to $399... so I printed that page as proof and called the number.

Right away the lady said Oh I am sorry it wasnt supposed to be marked down. (Cowboys had just won SB lol).

I said, I already printed out the page and I could fax it to you... blah blah blah... just fight for that discounted price. She was a southern belle... she was nice and just said I will give it to you for that price but we are changing the price back right now... AND THEY DID.

She explained it was going to be custom cut and would take 3 months... I thought to myself... oh thats nonsense... now she is giving me the business.... 2 months later I got this jacket that had all of the letters and logos custom cut and mutlilayered on top of each other. The jacket screamed of "this was just made".

I will snap a few pics and post them later.

Thats my jacket story.
