O yeah, that's what I'm talking about

They should draft Gordon as #27and definitely shouldn't trade up for him. There is a very good chance that he is not even a top 2 RB in this draft. He had super inflated stats running behind a really good OL and outrunning some slow defenders. When he had to play a real defense like Ohio State he didn't look as good.

I don't get the Petty love. The QB at Baylor right before him was way better IMO. He didnt even want to go pro, but opted for business!

I think we will want a CB that will be selected prior to 27 so we will pick eric Kendricks at 27 then trade up in the 2nd to get tevin coleman.

No offense(pun) but we could do better with current media rankings. If they see Petty as a talent I would have no problem with that choice he would require the full Valley Ranch retraining regiment.
Frank Clark going that early would be a surprise, TM119 has Bobby Richardson going in the seventh people should know who he is and what he can do for the team.
Thanks for sharing I realized it is not easy to gather these mocks together and make it all work.

Maybe you know more than the scouts at his pro day and workouts. I read several quotes that stated his big improvement in taking snaps from under the center, his arm that can make all the throws and his ability to quickly learn and recognize coverages. Maybe, just maybe, Petty is rising due to these traits . It was not known if Petty could do any of these things, but he has shown the ability to convince scouts that he can. I would guess that little things like this would cause a player to rise up draft boards. You may not buy it, but it sure looks like some scouts do. I would guess that their opinion carries a little more weight for a team that is drafting a QB.

I'm not going to argue that a particular scout might not feel taht. Neither of us can know. What we do know is that anything coming from teams is likely intended to be misleading. Team lie in march and april.

Also rather than tell me about these reports perhaps someone can link one. I read quite a bit and see nothing indicating your claim.

2-Tevin Coleman
2-Bryce Petty
3-Josh Shaw
3-Frank Clark
4-Jacori Shepard or Kevin White
5-Ty Montgomery

Notes:

-I think they trade out. Alot of first round WRs and I believe someone wants to move back into the first to get one. With our targets likley gone ( I even think Owa will be gone) we work the phones. I think we pick up a 3rd moving to about 40-45.

-They seem very interested in Petty. VERY interested. Get yourself ready for that.

-Alot of talk of Clark shooting up boards. Many think he is a top 100 pick now.

-4th could be a WR (Conley) but I think they go with another CB there.

RB
QB
CB
DE/OLB

I for sure wouldn't mind drafting another pass rusher, and you correct in that you can never have too many.

I was strictly addressing Hardy being gone next year because I've seen several people parroting that theory. If Dallas wants him next year on a longer term contract, they'll keep him. He would either have to get in more trouble, not play well, or have a personality conflict with someone important for Dallas to not bring him back IMO. And if he sucks or gets in more trouble, I wouldn't want him back anyway.

Or we might not have the cap space...

I think it'll be:

1. Gordon/Gurley; if neither is available, best defensive back.
2. Best defensive back; if defensive back taken in the first round, best RB
3. Who knows from here on out.

In essence, it'll be RB and DB in the first two rounds depending on who is on the board. After that, the only obvious picks are Bryce Petty if he's there in the 3rd and a backup tackle somewhere late. Otherwise, it's just a guessing game.
