NY radio is all the buzz about Romo coming to the Jets next season. I don't think the Jets would give up much but if they gave up a late round pick and the Cowboys were able to get Romo's salary off the books, it might be a good move for both sides. It'll be interesting to see how this shakes out.

It's going to be hard to get much in a trade for Romo because of the high risk of injury with him. He didn't last 2 games to open the 2015 season. He didn't last 2 games returning from the injury. He didn't last 3 series in preseason this past August before breaking another bone. I think when it's all said and done after this season, he'll be released.

If we trade Romo, I want some picks, at least two 3rd rounders. We're talking about a top 10 QB when healthy, arguably top 5 QB. You just don't give him away. Make the Jets, or any other team, pay to get him.

The best case scenario would be Romo decides he wants to stay in Dallas and takes a salary cut and accepts role as back up knowing that his body can't handle a 16 game season. Dak as the starter and Romo as the backup for this year and next year. Man that would be awesome. It won't happen but it would be awesome. I can dream about it.

Anyway, this happens to every player sooner or later. Tony has had a long and good run with the Cowboys. He is very wealthly, young, in god health, everything considered, and nobody needs to feel bad for Tony Romo. HE lived the dream.
Romo will feel good if Dallas wins the Super Bowl this year and he gets a ring.

Romo is not the better "player" even when he was at his best in 2014 he wasn't playing up to the level Dak has played the first 9 games of this season. Romo is the more polished "passer/QB" or he was at his best and he provides more big plays in the passing game than Dak because he takes chances. However along with those chances come INT's. Dak has been more careful with the ball which has resulted in only 2 INT's in 9 games. Romo had 6 INT's in his first 9 games of the 2014 season. He took 18 sacks his first 9 games that season compared to 13 sacks for Dak. Romo's TD to turnover ratio was 15-7 the first 9 games of the 2014 season compared to Dak who has an 18-5 TD to turnover ratio. Dak's passer rating of 106.2 is higher than Romo's after his first 9 games of the 2014 season. Dak has only had 2 games this season with under a 100.0 passer rating while Romo had 4 games in his first 9 games of the 2014 season with under a 100.0 passer rating.

When you compare the numbers, Dak is currently having a better season than Romo did in 2014. You not only see it with the numbers but how well the team has played. The Cowboys were 6-3 after the first 9 games of the 2014 season and we're 8-1 now. What's been so impressive about Dak is he's been CONSISTENT and he's shown great leadership and poise. He has a chance to pass for more yards this season than any rookie QB in history. He's well on pace for over a 4000 yard season which would make him only the 3rd rookie QB to ever pass for 4000 yards. I know some hate to admit or accept it but he's having a BETTER season than Romo's best season in 2014 and the numbers prove it along with how well the team has played.

What Romo FANS have to ask themselves is would you rather have a few more bigger plays in the passing game, along with more bad plays/turnovers with Romo or the consistency we've seen with Dak and how well we've moved the chains and have avoided the bad plays? Our defense has been better because of how well we've controlled the ball and how few turnovers we've had. When Dak makes a mistake he doesn't compound it with another mistake. He doesn't allow a mistake to rattle him causing his game to come apart. He has CHAMPIONSHIP QB written all over him!

It's crazy to suggest that Romo has ever had a team like this. Dak's a good player but he may very well be sitting behind the best modern offensive line with a great running back behind him. Romo is the better player. He has made mistakes in his career with his Brett Favre style. To suggest otherwise is a lie. To suggest Dak is a better player because the team around him is outstanding is ridiculous.

Want the point proven? How many players remain from the 09 draft? The past 3-5 years Jones finally listened to football people during the draft. This team is more talented than any team Romo has ever been part of.

Dak doesn't have to throw 40-50 times a game to carry the team. He just had his first 300 yard game in his 9th start.

Romo has never had a team like this??? LOL Romo was sitting behind the same best modern OL in 2014 and he had the #1 leading rusher in the entire league who broke Emmitt Smith's franchise record and you're saying he never had a team like this? The difference between the 2014 team and this team is we have a young duel threat QB who's brought the read option to our offense and has energized the franchise. We have a QB who doesn't take as many sacks as Romo and he doesn't turn the ball over as much as Romo. It was pointed out during yesterdays game the sacks that Dak avoids that Romo can't. Dak avoided a sack that Romo would have never avoided late in the game when the Cowboys were behind. Dak under heavy pressure got the ball off to Witten for a huge first down and it's a play Romo would have never made. Romo was playing behind the same line in preseason that Dak is playing behind and Romo ended up with a broken back because he can't get away from pressure the way he used to. Dak would have run away from the sack Romo got injured on and made a play because he can run. The film studies on NFL Network have pointed out what the read option has brought to our offense. It's opened up all kinds of plays we wouldn't have with Romo.

Defenses have to respect Dak's ability to run and with the running threat Zeke has provided it's made us hard to defend. We wouldn't have this offense with Romo especially a rusty Romo who hasn't played in a full year. Dak is the better "player" because he can run and throw. Compare his numbers to Romo's numbers the first 9 games of the 2014 season and Dak's numbers are better except Romo had 4 more TD passes. Had it not been for Dez's overturned TD that he dropped in the opener the Cowboys would be 9-0. This is a better team because we have a DAMN GOOD rookie QB who's playing like a 10 year veteran and he's not turning the ball over as much as Romo or taking as many sacks. Sacks put you behind the chains and Romo took 29 sacks in 2014 in 15 games. Dak has played better than any rookie QB in NFL history the first 9 games and he's been a big reason why our offense and team has been so good. If you add more turnovers, sacks and take the read option away from our offense we'll drop several spots offensively and the losses will start coming.

One mistake late in yesterdays game by Dak would have cost us the game. The same thing against Philly ONE mistake late in that game by Dak would have given us a loss. Dak Prescott is the best QB the Cowboys have had since Staubach and Aikman. That's how impressed I've been with his play. He's special and he's helped make the Cowboys a legit SB contender. We wouldn't be as good a team with Romo because we've NEVER been this good with Romo. He doesn't provide the skills that Dak provides and he's not as good a decision maker. We're playing with one of the most special young QBs the NFL has seen in years and his numbers say it. He's been CONSISTENT, shows great leadership, poise and has been remarkable under pressure. He hasn't made the kinds of mistakes when games are on the line that we've seen with Romo over his career. This kid has been CLUTCH! There's NO WAY Romo with all the games he's missed in a row can compete with the level of play we've seen from Dak through the first 9 games. Look at the numbers!

As for how talented this team is our defense looks like CRAP on paper. We have no elite pass rusher or a pass rush. Dak is dealing with the same problems that Romo has had to deal with but his great play has elevated the level of play of the entire team including the defense. Offensively Dak won 3 straight games WITHOUT DEZ which Romo never had to deal with in 2014. We have the same players offensively Romo had in 2014 except for Zeke and Murray was putting up the same type of rushing yards. Spin it anyway you want but we're a better team because we have a special young QB that's energized the franchise and has gotten the attention of the entire NFL. I haven't seen a Cowboys QB energize the franchise and raise the level of play around them like Dak has since the days of Roger Staubach.

When they showed Romo just sitting on the bench all by himself with his coat wrap around him just starring off into space, I was like................"Dam, that's hard to watch"

Dude has been my favorite player for over a decade, I got a closet full of his jerseys, I got his playing cards, ect....

Its just hard watching him go out like this.............not saying we should pull Dak, he has earned the right to keep the starting job, its just hard to watch somebody like Romo that has been the face of the franchise sitting on the bench all by himself starring off into space wondering what could have been.

Dam, just hard to watch that................anybody else feel this way?
when did you see this??

I do feel bad for him, but he needs to get over it, and be ready to play if needed.
He may still be able to play here, and for sure elsewhere, so he needs to move forward and maybe
develop a stronger work ethic like dak.

Tony isnt as fragile as some think, and he could still play and be good, but being a older guy, he is going to have to
work harder, and play smarter.
Avoid those hits is playing smart, always another play.
had he just thrown that ball away in seattle, he wouldnt be in the situation he is in.

Romo, Jerry, Stephen, the team, and all of us are all going to feel sorry if we don't make the switch.
