LSU Crushes ND--Weiss & Miles Can't Coach

Weiss gets blown out by LSU, loses big game. Heck, and Miles is only doing it with Saban's players. Therefore, neither guy can coach. Same reasoning I've heard about Bob Stoops and Barry Switzer. Can't have it both ways all you hypocrites. LOL

It's obvious you have no clue what Miles did at Oklahoma State. He coached a winning program with far less talent while consistently beating Stoops at Oklahoma with far greater talent.

Nobody but ND could lose two games by +20 pts each and still play on Jan. 3rd.

I was glad to see them lose big again.

41-14 was about what I was hoping would happen.

A good ol' fashioned butt-whoopin' !!

Take your golden dome and head on home.

:laugh2:  I agree 100%

Nice to feel some fellow WV hate for those Domers.

Landry lost a lot of Super Bowls and championship games. I think the man could still coach.

That is true, Landry did lose a lot of NFC champ games and SBs; actually more then he won. However it was spread over 29 years.

Stoops not a good coach? Are you kidding? He is 86-19.

True Stoops is having some problems in these BCS appearances. I dont know what is going on. I can't hang it all on Stoops tho.

But taking his winning record and just throwing it out the windows cuz you hate on OU is just rediculous. I hate Texas but Mack Brown is a damn fine coach.

You ding dongs need to stop looking through your orange colored glasses and give the guy some credit for what he has done.

When Bomar was gone for the season and AD went down. I basically wrote off the season. I for sure never thought this team would win the Big 12 and be in another BCS bowl.

Oklahoma (Big 12 Conference) (1999 — present)

1999 Oklahoma 7-5 5-3 Independence Bowl Mississippi L 25-27
2000 Oklahoma 13-0 8-0 Orange Bowl † Florida State W 13-2 1
2001 Oklahoma 11-2 6-2 Cotton Bowl Arkansas W 10-3 6
2002 Oklahoma 12-2 6-2 Rose Bowl † Washington State W 34-14 3
2003 Oklahoma 12-2 8-0 Sugar Bowl † LSU L 14-21 3
2004 Oklahoma 12-1 8-0 Orange Bowl † USC L 19-55 3
2005 Oklahoma 8-4 6-2 Holiday Bowl Oregon W 17-14 22
2006 Oklahoma 11-3 7-1 Fiesta Bowl † Boise State L 43-32 (OT)
At Oklahoma: 86-19 54-10
Career: 86-19

I beleive Michigan bruised NDs confidence enough to throw their entire psyche off in big games this year.

College is slightly different guys.

The current starting Senior class Weiss is playing with is partially Bob Davies recruits, and partial Tyrone Willingham. Willingham had three of the worst recruiting classes in Notre Dame history. They will be Seniors next year.

Weiss' players will not actually get on the field until 2008, for the most part, unless he starts Freshmen next year, like some think he might be forced into doing.

It was obvious that the current CB's on the Notre Dame team had no speed to speak of, that is not Weiss' fault. He cannot go out and sign a free agent CB like you can in the pros. You field what you have.

Weiss will be judged starting in 2008, when his recruits (two top ten recruiting classes including the number 1 QB in the nation) take the field.

It's way too early to bash him for finishing 8-3 two years in a row. Uhhh....nevermind.

I think it's unfair to judge Weiss by a bowl game...ND didn't belong in any BCS bowl. Every year they get matched up with teams that are superior to them because of the almighty dollar. ND is not a very good team, especially on defense. It was no fluke that USC totally destroyed them, and it had little to do with coaching.

I like Les Miles alot, I think he has a bit of Jimmy's flare but with a more contemporary sensibility for the game.

Yeah.

LSU fans can be extremely annoying but I had to choose the best of two evils and therefore LSU > ND.

I want OSU to lose because ESPN was trying their best to get them to have a rematch against each other and after their game there were people here and abroad saying Michigan and OSU were the two best teams and the Big 10 was the best conference, period end of subject.

That's why im glad Michigan was annihalated and hopefully Florida will win.

I really can't stand how overrated the Big Ten and SEC are. I hate ND, so I was rooting LSU, but come on, it was basically a homegame for them.

The SEC never travels, and they stay in there muggy southern climate. When they play teams, teams go to them.

I agree with the Mich/USC game and the Florida/OSU. Mainly because I work with a OSU alumni and by hearing him you would think God created OSU on the 7th day. :lmao:

...and on the 7th Day God did not rest...He had one more thing to do.

He said let there be the Greatest Football Program in the Nation...and so it was!

Let's just hope that if the Buckeyes win on Monday, it isn't on a pass interference flag thrown all the way from Columbus 4 hours after the play is over.

I had no interest in who won but come on, that was a very late flag. If it had happened the other way around, they would still be crying in Columbus.

You come from West Virginia, so you really don't matter.
