You come from West Virginia, so you really don't matter.

You cheer for Philly, so you are even less relevant.

I would love to see Weiss and his "Im too good to punt" philosophy in New York.

Weiss has gotten more mileage from a near win over USC than any coach I can remember. Name a great win that he has engineered due to his genius. Chan Gailey, Gary Pinkel, Mike Riley just to name a few have beaten about as many good teams as Weiss has recently. Yet they don't even get close to the same pub. Weis just has the added benefit of playing the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines and National Guard every year to up their win total to get them into the BCS.

Both guys are good coaches. I wouldn't be shocked to see Miles as the Cowboys' next coach. He's not my first choice, but Jones could do worse.

Weiss just doesn't have the horses. His OL was not good, and his defense is slow. Give him a couple of years, and he'll have ND at least competitive with programs like USC and LSU.

LSU, on the other hand, may be the most talented team in the country. If not for some silly mistakes - like Russell fumbling on a QB sneak at the goal line against Florida - LSU would probably be playing Ohio St. next week.

Now now, Bumafard will want to beat you up for daring to dis the academies. Remember the Academies play some really good ball :laugh2:

how does it feel for LSU to lose Saban to the NFL, only to have him return to a lesser college program just 2 years later.

I really don't think you can call Bama a "lesser" program when compared to LSU. While both schools have a large fan base, I'd say Alabama's is a bit larger. Both are tradition rich schools, but there is no comparison between the two really in that regard.

While LSU may be on the winning end at the present, there's no doubt Alabama will be right there within the next two or three years I'm betting.

Besides, Alabama's recruiting arms stretch much wider than LSU's could ever hope for.

If LSU wants to know what it feels like to be lied to by a head coach, they need look no further than Alabama.

Agreed...No way Alabama is a lesser program.

Alabama has done some DUMB Head Coach Hirings in the last 25 years but they are tradition rich.

Alabama got a great hire in Saban...He loves College and he's great at it and he will now have a great recruiting base...If only the Boosters will stay out of the way.
