What makes no sense is that after barely surviving last year, he still didn't fire Cameron.
 
I agree that's likely how the coaching search will unfold in the Bayou.

But Nick Saban has been dominant at Alabama without premiere QBs. Imagine what the Tide would do with a prospect like Jameis Winston under center.

Alabama wouldn't have let him throw because all of the INTs he throws and threw in college. They have 5 star recruits on the OL and DL every year with more NFL prospects than entire conferences, Alabama will only ever want a bus driver at QB because they know they can just grind it out every game and beat teams into submission with their beef in the trenches.
