Both John Morrow and John Wooten went to 2 Pro-Bowls each and Art Hunter once. These were all well known OLs back in the early 60s and even though Groza went into the HoF partly as a kicker he was also a Pro-Bowl caliber OT and went in mostly for that.
Barry Sanders didn't run behind his O-Line anyway, which always frustrated them. Lomas Brown and Kevin Glover were outstanding players so it's not like he had no one in front of him.
You know one of the best stats to throw out and quiet the Jim Brown people is that Emmitt matched Jim Brown's record of scoring his 100th TD in his 93rd game. Emmitt did it playing against defenses where everyone except the corners was bigger than him. Jim Brown did it when he was bigger than most defensive lineman he faced.
There is no question that Emmitt would do better in Brown's era than Brown would do in Emmitt's era. Brown also was nowhere near the receiver or blocker that Emmitt was.
