Dude missed all of TC and has a plantar fascitis injury that can linger. Disappointing? Absolutely. Bust? Due to his injury and limitations he gets an “incomplete” rather than a “fail” on his report card.

I don’t expect much this year. Anything we get from him this season is gravy. Next year is a make or break season IMO. If he shows potential and development, great. If not— then he clearly is a bust.

Massive reach….we didn’t even really need a TE. Ferguson, PH and McKeon have all been solid players for us.
Ferguson has been okay but Hendershot and Sean McKeon have done absolutely nothing as receivers this season. Our offense needs a playmaking pass receiving TE.

We can only hope it’s the plantar fasciitis that’s caused him to be so disappointing. However, he dropped what should’ve been a TD earlier in the season. The grades on him as a receiver coming out of college weren’t very good. Can’t understand why we would use a second round pick on a TE who doesn’t have good receiving skills.

Disappointed in Hendershot. He should real promise last year of at least developing into a quality #2 TE

It's not looking good...his ceiling appears to be a 3rd TE on every NFL roster. Reminds me of 2009 6th round TE John Phillips.

We're not even asking for much, we know this offense is limited but he can't even show any flashes that would make him look like a decent starter? Get open and make a few catches...even if it's just for a few yards.

Long term it might not be so bad. I still think there is a good chance you end up with 3 starters. Smith will probably leapfrog Hankins by the end of the year, and Overshown will probably start next year. Starter #3 probably depends on Richards, and I think he has a decent shot at starting some time before his rookie contract is up
Ewww not so sure about that. Hankins isn’t bad. Even if Mazi does can get faster off the snap he needs to learn to find the ball better. Right now he’s not close to Hankins level.
I think Overshown will be likely the only good player we get out of this draft and we now have to wait another year to even see him play.

He’s been awesome.

Total game changer.

Well worth the #58 pick in the draft.

He turns 32 in December.
Jerry is "happy" with the guys he has. And the reason why this franchise hasn't seen a NFC Conference game this entire 21st Century. Great Job

1 catch, 1 yard, 1TD in 124 snaps

For you PFF ratings aficionados, his PFF run blocking score has been a middling at best 53.0
With what this guy has shown, they would have been better off bringing Tebow in for te off the street and spending the 2nd rounder on another position.

So far, the top 2 picks have contributed absolutely nothing to this team and I don't c that changing any time soon.

Ok, I’ll do it. “It takes 3 years to develop at TE.”

I don’t believe that but that 3 year tag usually accompanies guys ragging on draft picks.
