I'm not so sure. He's already missed a lot if time no reason to force him out there if he's isn't 100% ready to go.

Lewis missed all of training camp last year and came in week 2 as a rookie and got a pick. Leighton is 100 percent and will contribrute Sunday

Yea.......but Taco was this quiet IMO. I'm not bashing the kid but as a rule, Cowboys fans generally spend lots of threads pimping our 1st round picks. This kid has gone through the entire off-season hardly mention......

Did you go to see training camp in Oxnard this season? Reason I ask because Leighton was picking off all our QBs and making guys fumble. The media guys don't always report every single play. Add to the fact they shut him down the last couple weeks to make sure his groin heals 100 percent, shows why you haven't heard much from him.

I actually truly like this kid and, if he can mentally get it, he could be truly special.
He has tools many others have no hope to gain.

We drafted LVE now so he doesn't have to play a ton of snaps right away. Ease him in the rotation when his mind and body are ready.

Yep. He was meant to be insurance for Jaylon and the eventual replacement for Lee if his injury concerns return. Would be nice if he works himself in maybe on passing downs early and on short yardage situations.

It doesn't matter...Jerry judges 1st round draft picks on whether they start the season as the starter to justify that money. Obviously, Jalon is not going to let him start or play much this year for that matter.
1st round draft picks have to prove that they deserve that 1st round selection and so far LVE has not come close. In fact, no one has noticed him so far this season in TC or pre-season.
