I dont actually know much about watt, and I have not watched much of the steelers, but isnt he more of a 3-4 lb?

He was an LB in a 3-4. So was Lawrence Taylor. IMO that's close to meaningless. I don't know what the Steelers base defense is, but I saw them with 4 down lineman on many occasions against Carolina.

I get it. I like LVE as much as the next cowboy fan. BUT, in essence, he is costing us 2 first round picks. Had we picked Ridley, we don't have to make the Cooper trade and lose that pick. But , maybe we'll win a super bowl or just advance to a conference title game for the first time since 1995 and none of this will matter.
That is the dumbest thing I have read this week

Perfect timing. We can get a pick back for Sean Lee....... I’m sure someone wants him?
We can't get a pick for Lee unless we trade him and that would be stupid at this point

A possible 5th or 6th instead of great depth and leadership

I reacted to the LVE pick as I did the T-Fred pick. I liked the idea of it, but wasn’t sure the player was going to fulfill expectations.

They have both fulfilled expectations.

Where does the 2 first round picks lost come into it? We lost one first round pick. If we picked Ridley, we have a potential #1 wide reciever, but no young future superstar LB, and only the chance at a quality player in next years draft. There's no guarantee you get someone who looks as good as LVE even if the pick is top 10. Instead we have an actual #1 wide reciever and the potential for the best LB tandem in the league for the next decade. Your math isn't very good.

Derwin was my guy but LVE has also been incredible this year. He replaced Sean Lee and we didn’t have to trade up to get him. No complaints from me.

I was whatever about the pick but I wasn't happy he wasn't a starter.. IMO a 1st round draft pick has to start or why you picking him? I was hoping he wasn't abothan Taco pick..

So, in your time machine/historical revision, LVE was a surefire "superstar LB" on draft day. It was just a given. Amazing. You should sell your services to Jerry.

I'll try the math again since reading comprehension isn't your thing. LVE cost us a first round pick. Amari Cooper cost us another 1st round pick. Had we drafted Ridley, we don't do the cooper trade. So.........drafting LVE , in effect cost us 2 picks while Ridley would have cost us only 1 pick. Maybe LVE is well worth it, but the math is correct.

I completely understand your logic, but IMO your logic is flawed. LVE didn't cost us 2 first round picks. Our front office dumbness cost us the second first round pick. There were other receivers out there floating around that were pretty darn good and available (Sammy Watkins for one) with zero compensation, but the front office was still in the deflect and deny mode that we didn't really need a true number 1 and thus we could make it work. Like most of the time they were incorrect. I hated the LVE pick at the time, but based on Lee's availability and LVE abilities it appears to be a solid move. He will be on the all rookie team this year zero doubt.

We never had to draft a WR and LVE is making way more of an impact then any WR could with Dak and Garrett.

He never gets his momentum stopped. You never see him get caught in a block or stuck in a gap. I just want to see Lee, LVE and Smith on the field together.
