Ridley will most likely get pushed around quite a bit. I'm not certain he'll be able to get off the line and/or beat the jam.

In Ridley's defense, he's not having a problem adjusting. He's got 500 yards and 7 TDs through 9 games as the 3rd WR.

He has really popped when he has gotten the chance to play. Although lets hold off on patting ourselves on the back. Just like you can't label someone a bust early, a lot can change over the years. I would certainly want a guy who has shown he can be very good when getting the chance though. Linebacker is a high injury position though.

Those rangy arms, like a spider. Gave big props to Lee as well, great guy.

Absolutely. The reason I wouldn't have taken him in the early first is due to me looking and thinking #2 speed WR, primarily. He is good, and easily worth the late first ATL spent on him, knowing he was going to be their #2/3.

Ridley has better measurables than Antonio Brown and is very similar to Amari Cooper. Its not all about the tales of the tape. If we had drafted him, he'd be our #1 and we wouldn't have needed to make the Amari Cooper trade.

Hey what are the Atlanta talking heads saying about this game?

I've been watching both guys since they were freshman at Bama and there isn't a whole lot of difference between the 2 in terms of what Dak can do with a WR. I think Cooper is a little faster but Dak can't hit those go routes up the sideline anyway. Both guys get plenty of separation ect. Cooper is due a salary of 14 million next year and a huge contract extension. So, the choice is Ridley, a cheap contract for the next 4 years, and a 1st round pick, OR Cooper , a huge cap hit, and a lost first round pick.
But you are forgetting the cheap dynamo of a LB in this discussion. We have LVE who might already be our best LB and if not he is just a shade below. We have him for 4 years on the cheap. So if the next years first round pick could have been a great player for us, than the comparison is a wash. For now, we came out ahead with LVE and Cooper. I am very pleased with it as it is right now. Ask me in April after the first round pick could have happened and I will let you know then how I feel.

I hear people comparing LVE to Lee, I don't think so. Lee had two top ten finishes in tackles his entire career, and LVE is already top ten in combine tackles in his rookie season without the benefit of starting. And on another note, what's been overlooked is Smith on that LVE tackle that killed their 4th down. Smith actually blitz, and had the speed to get back into position to make the tackle in case LVE didn't. Not to mention Smith running way down field to help prevent a deep pass. OMGosh, this line backing core looks legit.

I get it. I like LVE as much as the next cowboy fan. BUT, in essence, he is costing us 2 first round picks. Had we picked Ridley, we don't have to make the Cooper trade and lose that pick. But , maybe we'll win a super bowl or just advance to a conference title game for the first time since 1995 and none of this will matter.

Ya think maybe Lee's injury issues had something to do with that misleading stat? Lee's talent has never been questioned. He is a legit all-pro, HOF caliber talent who never realized his potential in this league b/c of his injury issues. We all hope LVE is better but there is absolutely no need to disparage Lee by throwing out stats that don't take into consideration games played.
