LVMPD Body Cam Footage in Michael Bennett Incident Released

The LVMPD completed it's investigation of the incident involving Michael Bennett and late on 9/29 they addressed with the media and provided police body cam footage. The video and Bennett's written account do not seem to jive.

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department released footage Friday from the body cam of an officer involved with the detainment of Seattle Seahawks defensive end Michael Bennett in Las Vegas on Aug. 26.

Sheriff Joseph Lombardo played the videos in front of reporters and offered his thoughts as well as the results of an internal investigation.

Per Mike Shoro of the Las Vegas Review Journal, Lombardo said officers had "reasonable suspicion to stop Bennett" and said he didn't believe race was a factor.

will be interesting if Bennett, Seahawks and/or the NFL will respond. Heck, I wonder if liberal MSM will even cover it.

Bennett's letter was very damning and made some extremely harsh accusations.

Cops have a tough job. Bennett didn’t do anything wrong and neither did the cops from what I can see from the videos. If the cop did put his knee in his back and threaten to shot him then the officer went too far. But the videos in the link don’t show that.

You want people to spoon feed you the story so you can make up your mind? That's how disinformation gets spread. The information is in the OP so go read it and stop letting others tell you what happen. Too many times word of mouth of incorrect information creates mass hysteria and then riots... Ferguson with Michael Brown, Baltimore with Freddie Gray and Sanford FL with Trayvon Martin... these are all cases where incorrect information was spread by word of mouth and then the liberal media just ran with it. How hard is it to go read a few lines to find out for yourself what happen? The video, Bennett's statement, the police's statement... it's all there so just go get the information and stop depending on somebody elese's interpretation.

I guess you missed the video that showed the police officer repeatedly telling him to stop but he refused to follow directions and kept running. Even after they caught him he was refusing to follow directions. You don't get to keep tell Bennett's lies for him when the truth is out now.

about 12 hours later and no official response that I can see/find from Bennett, Seahawks or NFL to the LVMPD's findings.

Nobody wasted time though responding to Trump's comments re divisiveness. Well if LVMPD's findings end up being the result, it's tough to imagine more divisive actions and comments than what Bennett did here.

And remember, he wasn't the only black person there...not even close. Yet, he was the guy that detained. Why? Because he didn't run like everybody else.
