Machota maps out our offseason

Id agree usually but he's wrong this time. I feel the Jones boys will be fairly aggressive.
There is no indication that Dallas will do anything different in free agency since the team changed its philosophy in 2012. In fact, when asked about it, Jerry gave a very Jerry answer.

I think they will be more aggressive this time. They got little choice. Fans are on to them. Even the local radio guys have turned on them and are calling them out. The jig is up.

Here is a fun stat for you: Micah Parsons next year has a lower cap hit (19.2m) then BOTH Quinnen Williams (21.75m) and Kenny Clark (21.5m). So they didn't really save any money or at the very least they already spent whatever money they did save on those two.
Fans get under the false impression that Dallas is just cheap, but how much they hand out to their own free agents and the cost of players they trade for shows differently. The front office just doesn't think it gets its money's worth with expensive free agents.

Well, you can think that, but you will most likely be disappointed. I have no expectations of them changing a philosophy they believe in and have used over the past 13 years no matter how close they've been to success or how poorly they've performed. I would welcome a change because tying one arm behind your back in roster building by not shopping for top free agents has been shown to not be successful.

i see the jones boys being fairly agressive signing more one year mid level free agents again. also they will trade late round future picks for high priced veterans on the last year of there contracts and get no returns from those guys. it is only way the jones know how to build team.

Jourdan Lewis was guaranteed 20 million on a 3 year deal missed 4 games with a neck injury now out the rest of the season ( playoffs ) foot surgery . Loved him in Dallas had foot injury here as well . Jax paid a lot $

I don't need or want the big names, but I would like FAs that aren't bargain bin dwellers. A couple of good draft picks and 2 to 3 solid FAs will make a heck of a difference!

I went back and listened to the trade press conference again yeaterdsy

He said that with the cap savings from not signing Micah, that we would be able to add “3-5 really good, not young, difference making players who are not currently on the team.”

I see some fans saying that it will be the same as always but people *need* to be calling Jerry out for just straight up lying.

If he doesn’t bring in 3-5 free agents, like described above, then it was just blatant manipulation and not “just Jerry being Jerry.”

People have Stockholm syndrome with him, some just want to believe him or make excuses for him.

Hate to say it but he's probably right.
Actually his forecast for the offseason might be a little bit optimistic.

I'll be surprised if we don't draft some injured player in the second round.
They dont have a 2nd round pick unless they trade down
