If by "get it done" you mean having postseason success, then the Bengals defense has a lot to do with that.

Palmer is easily a Top 5 QB in this league.

somewhat ironically, Palmer is on his way to being the Archie Manning of this generation...

I'm surprised they didn't give Brady a 100 rating.

Here's Romo's #'s, since that's all anyone really cares about anyway:

Overall: 94
Speed: 78
Awareness: 80
Throw Power: 90
Throw Accuracy: 96

He's tied for 4th best QB ranking overall with Drew Brees, although Brady and Manning are both 99. (Palmer, Roethlisburger are the other two ranked higher)

Thats generous... Should be 86-88

If you're even half decent at Madden, 80 awareness is plenty.
True. Regardless of the size of the vision cone, if you're patient enough to look off and then target the intended receiver, you're going to be successful passing the ball. Using directional passing doesn't hurt your Madden game, either.

Rudi Johnson missed 6-7 games, and had a whopping 497 yards last year. The rest of the RBs combined for 97 YPG, good for 24th in the league. The Bengals still had the 7th best passing offense, and Palmer threw for 4,000 yards completing 65% of his passes. TJ had a career year... finishing tied for the league lead in receptions with 112 (Wes Welker also had 112), and Chad Johnson had 1,440 yards receiving, finishing only behind Reggie Wayne and Randy Moss.

Meanwhile the defense was 24th in PPG allowing 24 per, and they gave up 350 YPG good for 27th in the league.

So what was that you were saying?

Brady has a strong arm, stronger than most give him credit for, but there's plenty of QB's with stronger arms. Leftwich has a far stronger arm, Favre as well. I'd also put Carson Palmer as a stronger arm and even McNabb.

Eli getting a 93 rating is a hoot. He was mediocre the entire year except for the last 4 games, where he was good, decent, average (he only threw 18 passes against Dallas, obviously Coughlin didn't want him throwing too much), great, and extremely lucky against the Pats (thankfully it could not have happened against a better team).

It's a big reason why I stopped playing Madden because the rankings are ridiculous and don't reflect the reality of the game. The Brady arm power thing is like the Hester getting a 100 speed rating when he's nowhere near the fastest player in the league, much less the fastest player the league has seen in years.

20 picks doesn't help. yeah he had a poor defense but he isn't as good as the hype he gets imo.

Yeah that's the most INTs he's ever had in his career, in a season when he threw 55 more times than he ever had in his career. His next highest number of INTs was 18 in his first year starting. This year he threw about 150 more passes.

And what kind of hype does he get? No one contends that he's the best in the league, or one of the two best. Most people think he's a Top 5 QB... and he is. His stats bear that out. If you don't think he's a Top 5 QB right now, you're either blind or biased.

Stats mean nothing or so I was told when Danny White was playing. Palmer is the most OVER-RATED player in the NFL, with D. McNabb a close second;)

speaking of Brady

I was glancing in GQ today, and I saw Brady advertising for that VitaWater crap, and he was doing some exercise, can't remember, but he actually looked pretty cut

which was a sharp contrast from his combine, underwear, chunk photo that was circulating on here awhile ago

thought it was funny

Agreed. Palmer is one of the best in the league. I don't even see how there's an argument there.

Palmer has been forced to throw a lot due to a poor running game and a lousy Defense. Show me a QB in that situation that did not throw a lot of picks and I will show you a QB that did not pass much.

ive given up on the madden rankings. i usually get pissed half way though the season and change all the notable players myself. romos is hard to make on madden without him becoming the best player in the nfl on the game.

I hope they make Romo way better then 08 because in that game he is TERRIBLE. Nobody in madden can beat me playing with the Cowboys, nobody. Romo throws ducks left an right and has no arm.

Please madden fix this because I'm tired of playing with other teams.

So no one can beat you playing with the Cowboys but you think Romo's numbers are still too low?

yes really ha i shouldve gone into detail. his arm ,speed and everything you cant really argue with but if you raise his awareness to 90 and actually watch him play games. which erry one on here does you see his vision should be a little higher than what they rated it. he instantly goes to 99 . So not sure if its me being a homer or a bad formula from the programmers. but yeah.
