People are really trying to argue that Carson Palmer is NOT a top QB in the league?

Thats crazy... He's easily top 5. There are a lot of problem in Cincy, but QB isn't one of them. Neither is offense in general.

So no one can beat you playing with the Cowboys but you think Romo's numbers are still too low?

other way around, nobody playing with the Cowboys can beat me..I dont play with them because Romo and the rb's suck in the game.

I disagree. Romo throws too many INTs for his awr to be much higher than it is. If he could lower his INT number, hiw awr rating would go up. As it is right now, I'd say it's fairly accurate.

Alot of those picks came late in the game when he was trying to catch up. I think he had one in each loss. Not to mention the Buffalo game. His picks don't really seem to come at critical times in the game. Unless you consider trailing by 10 with 20 seconds to go and us on our own 30. Then you will disagree. Romo seems to be a very good clutch player.

without the eagles and bills game his int would not be so high

Sure. If you excuse a couple of games, his INT totals drop.

Name me a QB that this DOESN'T apply to...

My problem is they have a lot of other problems to deal with in EA without worrying about Romo's AWR rating or some other BS feature they add every year. Stop with the canned animations (costs me a lot of yards) and institute a more realistic tackling and blocking system. It seems theres a game or two every season where all my blockers don't worry about blocking and just run off in a random direction to block a safety like 20 yards away from the play. Getting beat I can understand, but that is ridiculous. Also, a RB straight plowing a DT just isn't very realistic either.

It's similar and not the same thing as you're referring to, but one of my pet peeves with Madden's Training Camp (or Mini-Camp) feature each year is the Trench Fight tests. You can clearly shove or swim move your way past a blocker, but sometimes your player will re-engage the blocker instead of heading straight for the flag. If there is open field between you and the flag, what is the problem?

Yeah, it's not only that too, unless you go directly away from the blocker, it has a hard time disengaging the shove part of it. A blocker can be at the right shoulder of a defender and the defender will turn to engage the blocker. I'd like to see blockers double team and shift. More realistic blocking and tackling is all I really am asking for.

Oh yeah, and the stupid canned animations. Like if a player catches the ball and is anywhere near the sideline, you have to go through the whole process of him bringing it in before you have any control. I'd like to control the second the ball is caught, not 3-4 steps afterwards.

You're saying there's no control for special moves the instant the ball is caught, like jukes or spins?

I've tried and it doesn't appear there are. Some of the "animations" are extremely short and give you control pretty much instanaeously but there are some that last for a good 3-4 paces.

Tony's 80 awareness is tragic. In the game it makes a HUGE difference, and his should be much higher than it is. That's a major mistake IMO.

How so? You completely control the QB and even if his AWR was 85 or 90, you'd still have to manually lock onto a receiver. AWR matters a lot for players you don't control much (or at all) but the QB just isn't one of those guys. On top of that, decent play will boost his AWR rating about 10 points a season.

I hate that, esp. when I'm running an off-tackle play, the OG will touch the defender in front of him, and run upfield, letting his 1st assignment have a straight shot at my runner, usually ending me up w/ a loss of yards

it is tragic, just watch the games, Romo has great awareness, even when he's scrambling he's looking to throw down the field

hell, they only mentioned that in pretty much every telecast w/ Madden
