And I agree the Franchise Mode just isn't fun anymore. If they focused on making the draft better, maybe I'd reconsider. But when you can only scout 15 players (or whatever the # is), all the players at a certain position are gone by the third round, or the same team drafts a QB with the top pick in back to back to back years . . . then something is amiss.
I can't figure out how the NCAA series has continued to improve, but Madden has regressed (IMO).
In Madden's defense, you can scout a lot more than 15 players. The max you can scout AT A TIME is 21, and the idea is to change the players you scout through out the season rather than scouting those same 21 players for 16 weeks straight and the draft is a lot better in terms of finding diamonds in the rough.
I've gotten QB's that ended up being 90+ in the 3rd round and RB's that ended up being in the same range much later.
My problem is that there really isn't any depth to scouting, and the presentation for Franchise isn't any different from any of the other modes.
Also, as you play multiple seasons you start getting these super freak humans like DT's that are 300 lbs but run a 4.4 and every single year there are way too many players that are running 4.25 40's.
That's before you even get into stat tracking, it's nearly impossible to actually play your games and get any individual defensive awards since the computer cheats like nobody's business.
