That was his 4th from 60 or more. He is the only Cowboys kicker with a 60 yarder, let alone 4 of them. NFL record for most as well.
I wonder who he hit up as kicking guru in the off-season the ball is coming off his foot different than his first go around. I think his mechanics and setup were tweaked a little.I was pretty indifferent about him getting the job in Dallas, because I didn't think we had much choice, but I did not expect him to be this good. I'm impressed.
Gives him a chance to put it straight up the middle, and that second one could've been from 70.Still pretty PO'd that the Refs came in so late wit the reply negating the 1st kick. That stuff can't happen.
Mee too. The kicker position was the biggest liability on this roster during the off-season.I was pretty indifferent about him getting the job in Dallas, because I didn't think we had much choice, but I did not expect him to be this good. I'm impressed.
1st cowboys kicker to hit 3 from 50+ in a game.I read online that there has only been 20 over 60 in history
16 in the last decade
I guess now it’s 21 but 4 of those by one kicker
Until he misses his next 60 yarderThey need to extend him RIGHT NOW
He’s fixed what was his problemMaher was a joke when we drafted him. Never would I ever have imagined him being this reliable
Most kickers need time, there is a reason why journeyman float around there is a flaw in their game but eventually they fix it or they will be just weekly thoughts when a team loses a kicker. He’s fixed what was his problem
He missed short FG
I guess kickers are like other players in that sometimes it takes some time to really develop their game
