I'd say on other positions as well but it is funny though I'm reminded by this when I see Nick Folk kick....how many kickers ago was Nick Folk? Thought his career was over when he left Dallas.Brett Maher is proof that the NFL gives up to quick on kickers ......... man worked on his craft and is clutch as hell now.
Maher was a joke when we drafted him. Never would I ever have imagined him being this reliable
Wow, I could've sworn we drafted Maher with a 5th pickDallas didn't draft him. The Cowboys weren't even his first NFL team. The Jets signed him as an UDFA. They then cut him in training camp. Dallas then brought him in while Bailey was recovering from injury. That was was back in 2013. He didn't get his first regular season action until 2018 with Dallas. He is 33 now. No one imagined he would be this reliable.

Hats off to money MaherThat was his 4th from 60 or more. He is the only Cowboys kicker with a 60 yarder, let alone 4 of them. NFL record for most as well.
Still pretty PO'd that the Refs came in so late wit the reply negating the 1st kick. That stuff can't happen.
I was yelling at the screen to hurry the hell up....it was our own fault!!!Still pretty PO'd that the Refs came in so late wit the reply negating the 1st kick. That stuff can't happen.

I don't think that was an official review. I think that was a challenge, but I could be wrong. The NFL tried to stop that. It’s crazy it only happens to us. I would bet anything if he missed, they would have never reviewed anything!

You're probably thinking of David Buehler, drafted 5th round in 2009 by Dallas.Wow, I could've sworn we drafted Maher with a 5th pick
