Zeke is a shell of his former self as a runner. His vision is poor and his speed and balance are below average. His blocking is his major strength and I’d consider moving him to FB next season as long as he agrees to a paycut.
How you can vision if there is no run lanes? Did you evaluate the OL play?

There might be one fullback in the NFL making over 1.5 million per year. Fullbacks don't see the field and have almost no value. Zeke can't run and is worthless a receiver.

He's been targeted 21 times with passes and netted only 92 yards. Don't think any other high-usage RB in the league is so useless as a receiver.

Just need to say goodbye. 7-season old running backs are toast 98% of the time, as is Zeke.
I love Zeke, but Jerry loves Zeke even more. Zeke not going anywhere. This team never knows when to and not to move on from a player. If Zeke is willing to take a pay cut so that Pollard can get his deserved big payday this may work. But next season, regardless Pollard needs to be the featured back.

Running lanes in the NFL open/close in an instant. If you don’t have the foot speed to even get to a hole you don’t have a chance.
Can't dispute that......but the same lanes garnered Flash Pollard a 2.1 avg last week. Can't always run to the outside. I don't know what to tell you, if you don't recognize the run blocking needs work.

“Only 9…”

Luuuulz, smh.

There are 11 other running backs (not counting Zeke) that have 200+ carries. Of those 11, nine (9) have higher YPC averages than Zeke.

Funny how stats work when you actually give them the proper context.
I’m not saying your wrong about Zeke because he clearly has lost a step but this is a little misleading because a huge chunk of his carries are short yardage or goal line carries.

The short yardage/goal line excuse doesn’t hold up though.

Are Derrick Henry and Nick Chubb not being run on short yardage situations?

The difference is they bring their respective averages up by being dynamic runners and breaking long runs consistently.

What foot speed matters if a DL is in the backfield with you or as you get the ball? Barry Sanders we need you.

I'm not exactly impressed with what the OL did out there as far as run blocking. Zeke did not have a good game. In fact, there were at least two plays and probably more where Zeke was being thrown around like a rag doll when tackled. Pollard was sorely missed.

Runs to the outside.....against the good teams look at his ypc. No slight on TPollard, but don't dismiss some things.

He runs inside and leads the league in yards after contact.

And I love how running outside is apparently a slight.

No.

Running outside is what most good running backs should be able to do. Zeke can’t.
