Zeke is in danger of dropping below 4 YPC for the season. His career stats continue to drop. If he plays again next year and his trend continues he will be one of the least efficient players in history. We seriously need to move on. It is crazy that this is still a conversation.
the new season starts in 2 weeks. None of these stats matter 1 bit. It will be a clean slate. It will come down to which teams are the most healthy and physical that can run the ball best. It always comes down to that. When Pollard is healthy with Zeke, we are dynamic. 1 doesn't work without the other well. We saw this last night. BTW..Dont sleep on the Davis kid. We may see a healthy dose of him in the post season with Pollard and Zeke. A 3 headed monster attack.

I agree but we still won by 14. The sign of a great team is when u play poorly yet still get the win pulling away. In the NFL, that is a great sign. Maybe its our year, destiny. Every team us hurt and banged up fairly bad right now. We are getting it done.
Operative word is "Maybe".......I just hope we aren't like this again.......

I think they were ranked #2 against the run. They played it well. If Pollard played he wouldn’t have done much better..

exactly. Thats the 1 thing the Titans always hang their hat on, stopping the run and running the ball well. It was expected.

To be fair, Zeke had a couple nice moves (one pretty awesome spin move) but there was just nowhere to run. Titans Dline, even without some of their best players, is the real deal.

Yeah they were hitting at the line. Was going to be a hard road to run on them. Still did ok. Stats aren’t going to look great every game.

exactly, just ask the Chiefs vs the Texans. Same scenario. Chiefs barely beat them in OT because Houston employs the same mindset. They made the Chiefs 1 dimensional and dang near beat them Mahomes didn't play well. I don't see the media even talking about that. Yet Dak is trash. Its crazy. We didnt win 12 games by accident.btw, Mahomes has had like 3-4 games like this where he wasn't good. Multiple int games.

Dak has been carrying the team largely because we havent been able to run the last 4 games. We been 1 dimensional, yet we been winning. Except at Jville. Mahomes has the very same issues as Dak at times when they cant run the ball. Its the NFL.

Saying it about mahomes won’t get the clicks. Dak has played a few stinkers. Especially opening game. But what people don’t want to admit is several of his picks came from poor attempts at catching the ball and bounced off the hands. And also Dak has played 2 of his best games of his career this year. He picked apart egirls and they were supposed to be the best defense. Maybe if Moore would call shorter high % plays and quit the jet sweeps and trick plays that put us in long down and distances it would help. And I think we are the best at 3rd downs anyways. Must be Pollard doing that.. Lol.

Agree. Certain players are the media's Darling. They are untouchable. Mahomes, I get it..he has a ring. But man, Dak just wins. Thats 2 years in a row now. 24 wins. Moore has to help him, as u said. THAT is when MM needs to get in KM's ear. Running the ball effectively cures much of the int issues. We need to get back to that. THAT is the Dallas Cowboy brand of winning FB. Always has been, always will.

They played a very physical game 5 days ago. Of course they're spent.
Was everyone just as pumped up like on Christmas eve? Of course not.

He still had a couple of key runs though, and the blocking left a lot to be desired.
Exactly and thats a team thats been good at stopping the run all year. Both backs had a few nice runs, but basically were handled well it looks like. You have to give credit to their defense. I thought since they were so bad against the pass the Cowboys would light it up more that way than running the ball coming into this game anyway.

The short yardage/goal line excuse doesn’t hold up though.

Are Derrick Henry and Nick Chubb not being run on short yardage situations?

The difference is they bring their respective averages up by being dynamic runners and breaking long runs consistently.
But the difference is both Henry and Chubb take the carries Pollard gets. Out of the the carries Zeke gets a bigger % are the short yardage goal line carries. But don’t get me wrong, I would much rather have Henry or Chubb then this version of Zeke.

Hope we have learned the lesson about giving massive extensions to RBs. If Pollard doesn’t except something around $6 to $7 million, I would challenge his agent to find more in the open market. I’m more then confident they can find a RB in the draft that can match the position. Zeke needs to cut his $11 million base significantly to have ant chance to remain on the roster.
