The first part doesn't surprise me, but the last part sure does. I don't see LVE as an edge rusher. But I'm not a coach.

Having these kinds of salaries at S 5 years ago wouldn't have been a consideration.

I get your point. But the salary cap is much higher now than 5 years ago.
