Personally, I post more when I am ticked off than when I am happy. I am happy right now. We have the best OC we have had in years and a DC that is working wonders with very little to work with. Both these guys make Garrett's job to just stand on the sidelines and clap. The more Garrett stands and claps, the less chance he has to screw something up. I am very happy right now.

How about come here to celebrate? There are people on this forum who have no desire to do that and that's sad.

It's only Monday morning...

I think it's natural for people to just go about their week with a little pep in their step after a big win. You really think that sort of win doesn't change a lot of fan's outlook on the possibilities of this season?

My stupid internet crapped out again last night! It was murder watching the game without posting here!!!!!

My internet at the hotel was bad too, in and out, mostly out all day and night. I have a hot spot device I could use, but save that for when I really need it. Not that it's not needed for posting, but I usually don't post much during the game anyway.

As for being quiet today, I guess all the Rob Ryan fans who hated him while here, but love him in N.O. [the ruage thing], are trying to figure out what went wrong. LOL

I freely admit I underestimated this team. It's great to have a staff finally that gets the most out of their players.,
These guys play hard.

I still believe Tony's back will forever be an issue but kudos to him for overcoming what is hurting him. Based on what I have read the back surgery messed with his mind too but he is overcoming that as well. No one can question that Tony is a very tough guy.

As long as he keeps clapping and keeps his nose out of play calling I'm happy.

Kenny Vaccaro, for all that mouth that he was running this week, got absolutely abused in coverage by Jason Witten, and on every other play was completely out of position it seemed.

They sure did spend a ton of money on Byrd, though, and it's now coming back to bite them.

I think some folks need to give the call outs a rest. It was a great win all the way around. But some of you folks are so invested in Garrett that it's more about rehabilitating his "image" than it is about the team. It took bringing in Linehan to save JG from himself. 3 and 1 is great with a long road ahead. If the team can build on this win and bring some consistency, they can make some noise if the D can hold up. Good win and one we haven't seen in a long time.

Any ideas why? Biggest Cowboys fan forum on the web - we should really be enjoying this one this week.

Because many of us were online last night enjoying the game and the victory while in progress.

I'm bout serious. Many posters act like we just won the Super Bowl. We're only through a quarter of the season. It's a great start, but if we don't continue to build upon this success, then it won't mean as much.

Or maybe it was bringing in Linehan to make this more of a complete team and coaching staff.....brought in by Garrett himself...

It's easier to complain and find fault then be positive, it's how they maintain a 24 hour sports news cycle. People (SAS, Cowherd, Rome) have built entire careers on constantly crapping on things without any true insight.
This is what celebration looks like. Food tastes better, air smells cleaner. After a big win, people enjoy life - they don't need to come here to vent.
Truth X 2.

It is shocking . For 3 quarters, I couldn't believe this was the Cowboys.

The Saints sure miss Sproles.

There is plenty reason to celebrate though. This team was dead in the water and underdogs in all of their games. They shouldn't be 3-1, but they are. And they just smashed a team that has owned them for the last 10 years.

This post bothers me. I've seen plenty of pessimists of this team on this forum enjoying the win. Talking positively.

The fact that you were optimistic prior to this performance really shouldn't lead you to gloat--doing so actually turns your 'positivity' into negativity, making you no different than the pessimists you abhor

We won. We don't need to fight with fellow Cowboys fans!

It was a nasty and cocky win. The O-Line was flat out nasty. I saw Leary, Martin, and Free all get into shoving matches that looked like they started. I saw the entire line get into it on the extra point. Loved Dwayne Harris punking the kick returner and sending a message. Loved seeing Church and McClain lighting people up. I felt like the coaching staff called a cocky game and did anything and everything they wanted to do to the Saints. The last drive of the first half was a thing of beauty that was half play calling and half execution. Romo, Bryant, Witten, Williams, and Murray just played like they were better than everybody else on the field. Great, great win!

Game balls:
Doug Free- Fantastic, gritty, and nasty. Do we still want to doubt this guy and talk about his upper body strength? He mauled everybody in front of him. The whole O-Line deserves this one.
DeMarco Murray- I think he's the best in the league right now and he held on to the ball.
Tony Romo - If you don't like Romo...well you just suck as a person. Go suck some place else.
Jason Witten- Do we want to talk about how slow he is or long in the tooth? Maybe some day Jimmy Graham will be as complete a TE as Witten.
Barry Church- He lit some folks up last night.
Bruce Carter- Great game Bruce, hope you're healthy this week. I've got visions of Carter, McClain, and Lee dancing in my head.
Orlando Scandrick- He's the best DB on this team by a long shot and in my opinion the leader of the defense.
Terrance Williams- Thanks for showing the NFL what happens when you double Dez.
Scott Linehan- That's the best called game the Cowboys have had since Romo has been at QB.
Rod Marinelli- You held the New Orleans Saints to 17 points and most of them were trash points. I don't know what else can be said.
Jason "Red Jesus" Garrett- You were in charge last night and everybody could feel it. Even our armchair coaching and scouting brigade on this forum felt it though as mentioned...wont show up today.

Oh, I agree. I didn't mean to imply we shouldn't celebrate. I am celebrating too. I've said long ago the Cowboys need to invest in the offensive and defensive lines rather than trying to draft sexy players. That's how the Giants built their Super Bowl teams. And, FINALLY, I saw a meannees and a nastiness and a physicality that I haven't seen in YEARS and should serve us well down the stretch.

Me likey. :D
