Just brutal, they are totally ripping him apart. Steve Young had to say "i think he's a good player" in a defensive way because he was saying he basically can't throw accurately even though his mechanics are good...that he's just not accurate. funny, i live in NY and I got in a huge argument at work with some Giants fan over how Eli sucks today. For the first time in my life, I'm looking forward to going into the office.

Oh I hear you. I had some *** giant fan over on the eagles board of all places playing the I'm the biggest homer on the planet card because I said Romo was better than wonder boy. I'd love to shove a DVD of tonights game up is ***.

In fact that's is now the penalty for anyone claiming that E.Manning is better than Romo. They get a DVD of every giant game shoved up you know where.

I think if Manning just went to the Chargers like he was drafted instead of making a big deal then fine... suck. But this guy had to be a BABY and force a team to trade him. If you are gonna do something like that then back it up. He DESERVES ALL OF THIS.

Not that I condone it for anyone, but if your gonna pull an Elway than you BETTER be an Elway!

PFT is normally garbage, but their live blog of the game has an interesting comment about Eli:

He has the demeanor of someone who's playing the game not because he wants to but because he's EXPECTED to.

That actually sounds accurate.

Wow thats really ripping on the player. The Giants bad play as a team and injuries are really affecting his play. While I don't think he will ever be elite , I believe he will be a decent starting QB into his 30's. Still he looks like he just hit puberty trying to grow facial hair- thats a bad look man.

I thought he just passed gas.

The Manning faces are all kinds of confusing.

He had the look of a doofus when he was explaining to the media how much he sucked tonight.

I don't have any sympathy for him. He definitely deserves it. His daddy didn't want him in San Diego.

BUT, I think Tagliabue had something to do with it too. Weren't there stories later that he talked to Daddy Manning ahead of time & then helped broker the deal? He clearly wanted a Manning on a NY team, in a major market, thinking that he'd finally have a "name" on a big market team.

The Post story from a few days ago was accurate--the Manning-Rivers trade was a bad deal for the Giants. The Chargers not only got Rivers, they got Merriman too.

Funny how NYG gave up Rivers, pick(Merriman) and something else for Manning.
Right now I wouldn't trade Rivers for both Merriman and Manning!:laugh2:

M&M are gonna tear Eli a new one tommorow! Brutal.
And you know Francesa's gonna love playing up that the Cowboys are in the drivers seat in the NFC East.

Manning and Co. deserve the criticism they're getting because San Diego is in way better shape compared to the Giants at this point, so little Eli looks real foolish now. If you compare the Cowboys roster to the Giants I love what I see.....

I've always defended Eli as an up and coming future superstar. But man, this season has proven to me he's NOT his brother. Not even close.

He seems to be at his best when things are in a panic .. like rushing to come back from a deficit. But he doesn't seem to have a handle on managing a game.

Maybe it's all the injuries to the Giants OL. I'm not making excuses for anyone, but Eli seems to have taken a step back. Considering this is his third year, I'm not sure progress is in his future. He is what he is .. this is the true Eli surfacing.

There seems to be alot of debate on whether the Giants traded for the right guy ... heck, they would have been better with Phillip Rivers and keeping all those picks. Just goes to show, never trade multiple picks for one single player. Chargers raped them on this one.

Heck, I wouldn't trade Rivers for Eli straight up right now ... let alone give up another 2nd and 1st.

But Eli has a long future. The Giants are in a backslide, but don't forget how they manhandled us a month ago.

I'm hoping we still remember that beating, and take it to the Giants in two weeks. Unfortunately, rewind to 2005 ... we were in the same boat. Tied for the division lead with the Giants, playoffs in view ... then we took it up the backside against the Giants and fell flat for the rest of the year.

One game at a time, but here's to Eli's continued backward progress. :)
