What other Longhorn WR do you know that has done something in the NFL? Only Roy Williams. What other WR from Texas has been drafted? OU, WRs has been more productive in the NFL, I do believe.

I'm not an OU fan either. Derrick Mason didn't he come from OU?

Quan Cosby is another McGarrity, if he does get an opportunity, he will not last no more than a year or two, maybe 3?

Imagine if DeMarcus Ware were 30 years old today. Or Marion Barber. Or Jay Ratliff.

It would kinda suck, no? It would feel like we JUST got acquainted with these guys, we JUST started to really benefit from their play... and they're already on the wrong side of 30.

That's Quan Cosby in 2013... 30 years old.

And keep in mind that it's traditionally more difficult for a rookie WR to contribute than it is for a RB or a defensive front 7 player.

Carry on...

Can we please stop talking about Cosby?

Jesus. Enough already.

What's the problem? No one considered him anything more than a late round pick (6-7th round). He's not big or extremely fast, but he does have very good hands... was a sure-handed target for Colt McCoy and made a number of difficult catches. Also, he can contribute on KRs. If he was 2 inches taller and 4 years younger he would be talked about as a 3rd-4th round pick. 6th or 7th round is good value for him.

I actually love this pick. Great quickness and great hands. Could reek havoc in the slot.

Is the fact that he's old really the best argument? How about the fact that he won't have an NFL career?

neither will Johnson 4 years from now so age is a moot point

The Oklahoma Sooners are my favorite college. Manuel Johnson is a good player. He had a couple of seasons cut short because of injuries. It was unfortunate because both seasons he was really playing well before he got hurt. I think he still has some upside. He is pretty fast on the football field and can take a short pass for a long touchdown. Juaquin Iglesias was the possession receiver for OU and Manuel Johnson was the big play receiver. I don't know if Manuel Johnson will make the team, but I like the pick. I really think he has a chance to help the Dallas Cowboys and I think it was a good value pick.

Malcolm, is that really you? I just talked with you at church this morning. I like the pick as well, as I said to you this morning at church, I wished we could have drafted you.

Cosby is already pushing 30 I'm glad we are taking a chance on Manuel over that slow midget.

You can't make that argument today because none of us know what kind of NFL player he will be.

So for those on the Cosby bandwagon, all I offer is the best case scenario for THEM.

And it's still not so great, because the guy's already 26 freakin' years old. Whether he sucks or tears it up, he's 30 in 4 short years.

What really gets me is when people accuse UT fans of criticizing a player solely b/c he's from OU. I have rarely ever seen that happen on this board or any other Cowboys board. Yet, it is the easiest thing in the world to figure out who is an OU fan on a Cowboys board... all you have to do is mention a UT player and watch the spit and venom come out. The UT fans I know are mature enough to separate the NFL from the NCAA... OU fans aren't smart enough to do the same. They're, well, typical OU folk.

No. I'm not Malcolm Kelly. I'm just a fan. OU is my favorite University and the Dallas Cowboys are my favorite NFL team.

It's actually a University, but I understand the confusion...

What are the UT people doing in this thread? Crying about about Cosby being better.
