Romo had a career day for the first 59 minutes of that game.

Unfortunately, on the final drive, the most important one of the game, with the game tied, yet another chance for him to change his perception and be the hero, he threw a pick at our 25 yard line, handing them the win.

The 500 yards and 5 TDs doesn't really matter at that point. When it came down to it, the drive that everyone and their mother knew was going to decide that game, he made the mistake that gave the game away. Period. You can point your finger at the defense for their play, and they deserved it, but they weren't the ones that handed Prater a chip shot game winning FG as time expired.

Although you make a valid point, you also have to look at that when your quarterback throws for 500 yards and 5 touchdowns and helps the team score 48 points ... it should be enough. I'm sorry, but the Denver loss belongs to the defense. Yes, Romo made a mistake in the end and threw a bad interception which lost us the game, but the fact of the matter is he shouldn't of been in that position ... he put up 48 freakin' points, like seriously ... they should have been running the ball and running out the clock by that time.

Of course the defense played terribly, but that's how that game was trending. At the end of the day Romo had the ball in a tie game and made the mistake that sealed our fate. He needs to own that. This isn't about who deserves MORE blame for a loss, which seems to be the only thing out fan base gets all fired up and passionate about these days which is pretty sad. It's just simply acknowledging that no matter the situation, 0-0 or 70-70, if your QB has the ball at the end of a tie game that will decide the outcome, that drive becomes the most important and nothing that happened before that really matters. Whether you get a W or a L will be decided in that moment, and that's when Romo needs to start coming through for us.

Pretty much the same scenario that ended our season in Washington in 2012. Yes, the defense sucked and gave up over 200 yards on the ground, but Romo had the ball with less than 4 minutes to go and could have engineered a great comeback win, but instead, threw an interception on a dumpoff pass. Plays like this are why he isn't a top 5 QB. He is still very close to the top 10, if not top 10.

It's like a coach says, we're tied 0-0 at that point, even if like you said, it's 70-70. And that same point goes for the other 3 years previous when we were booted out of the playoffs.

It came down to whether Romo would win or lose the game. No matter how the game went, he had a chance to win it and didn't. I'll take a Russell Wilson or an Aikman with lower numbers, but seems to not make those mistakes to hurt your team, and or, make just enough plays to win. Winning is more important than stats.

Is this even more of a troll than anyone could possibly imagine, or are you really that dense? Are you trying to say he never comes through for us?

I think that Aaron Donald will be the newest heartbreak. He could go before our choice. If he does not, and Jones passes on him, there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

I would take Johnny Foosball (trademark, be careful using it unless you want a suitlaw.)
Then I would trade him for Bortles, plus a future 1st round pick.

Problems solved.

I don't think jerra can get him BUT JERRY WILL GIVE IT A TRY. THE MERCHANDISING OPPORTUNITIES ARE WAY TO GREAT FOR JERRY NOT TO TRY.
Sorry, Romo. It has come to this. Many prefer an untested wild young gun to youse.

I really don't see Jerry trading up to get him. Part of me wishes yea he would because I buy some of the hype but it would take so much to get him & this team has so many needs. I think the Texans will take him.

No disrespect, because I do not want to draft "johnny football". and I don't trust that he's going to be a great player…….and I would not mortgage the draft for him or any QB in this draft for that matter…. but…… "31&10" does not account missed key passes & turnovers over several season, a lack of accuracy on the deep ball this year, and a declining overall accuracy, as well as a disk injury, that we are all aware of. I'm all for giving Tony 2 more years, will root for him, and want him to do well…. but he is not flawless, nor is he elite in my opinion. I also do not trust the way his injury situation has been reported over the last year. I have no problem with anyone who feels that our QB situation needs to be addressed. Now how, that's a different story

We scored 48 points at home and lost...............QB is not the problem with this team...............how good will Johnny football be when the defense doesn't force a punt for 3 games straight?

If we don't fix the defense, it really doesn't matter who is playing QB.

Sorry, but 48 points at home should be a win, I don't care what the QB does at that point.

I dont disagree with the defense quote at all. You are correct. But I do believe that QB is a true concern of this team considering Tony's age, inconsistency in accuracy, and back issues…. (which I believe effected his accuracy all year long.) .

I will not get into the tony takes all or nothing blame game, because the team has issues, and tony is part of this team & has his issues as well. But honestly Dallas has a plan with Tony that exist probably 2 more years, based on how much the team improves and how his health holds up.

As far as Johnny Football, you're singing to the choir….. I'm not looking for him to be a cowboy. I like next year's QB options, and the following year look promising as well.
