I do realize it and it's a moot point. They were the Washington Commanders then and they are still the Washington Commanders now.

Just becaue Tex Schramm is no longer the GM for the Cowboys and Jerry Jones is doesn't mean Stubach, Dorset, or tom Landry are invalided as being part of the org. Same thing applies to troubled players past and present for the Cowboys as well as the Commanders.

This logic doesn't work. You are insinuating that because they are the Washington Commanders, they will always operate a certain way. To believe this, you would have to ignore the obvious, which is the team operated a different way pre-Snyder. And again since Shanahan/Allen joined, the team has operated in a different manner with a different approach to free agency. Facts matter.

But the guy who signed this guy, still works in the front office, no?

:p

LOL! Ok, did he give him 100 million dollars? Every single team in this league has a head case or two, but those headcases produce or they don't play and/or get paid. That dude hasn't played a regular season down as a Commander, and has only earned the type of salary one year deals that would make Stryker44 proud. He's also been a model citizen within that time period, but if on a whim, McCloughan could decide not to offer him another opportunity to play here right now, and he'd be a memory. That is a pretty big difference from Haynesworth. I mean, it's even better than you guys taking a flyer on Greg Hardy's lying ***. ;)

In the context of the conversation, how much Gallette was paid really doesn't matter. The thread is called Manziel should go to the Commanders, which promted one person to say, the Commanders don't usually sign head cases. To which someone else pointed out Hayensworth. In response, you said the guy who did that is no longer making decisions, so I pointed out Gallette. So whether it's justified or not, the skins clearly do take chances on head cases.
