I hope Manziel has a bad debut. Nothing against him, even though never been a fan of him. But I do like the Bengals, and want them to win.
Then the following week, he can play good, maybe.

doesn't help that Marvin Lewis called him a midget....Manziel will have some extra juice this week to prove him wrong.

If it wasn't before, I suspect somehow they'll be sure to get this more national TV coverage.

The Browns' defense is pretty formidable at home. They shouldn't have to score too much...maybe 23 to win.
No offense to Manziel, but I want the Bengals to win. :)

How can you bench Hoyer when he led them to playoff contention and a winning record?

If I had to take a guess, it would be that Hoyer is a JAG who only had three career starts before this season, and his game film has caught up with him. So, the Browns going with Manziel is really not much different from the Rams going with Shaun Hill and benching Austin Davis.

I would say it is the opposite of the Rams situation. Hoyer has been in the league 6 years now and is 29 years old. The Browns want to see what the young guy can do. The Rams benched the young guy and went with the 34 year old whose game film caught up with him long ago.

Wow Johnny football is terrible. Not only does he look terrible, he looks like a moron who doesn't have a clue. Keeps making the same dumb mistakes.

Maybe Hoyer isn't as bad as he is made out to be? Maybe the team isn't as good as perception made them out to be. Manziel is clearly not better then Hoyer at this point in his career. Terrible call by that organization IMO. They were in the hunt for a playoff spot, prior to yesterday. The decision to start Manziel pretty much killed any hope of that. Bad decision by that Franchise.

Right on the money. Dumb, dumb, and even more dumb. I watch NFL Network a lot and all I saw this past week was Manziel this, Manziel that. And then after his performance, perhaps this will all go away. Kind of reminds me of the Tebow era. Another bum and bust. But it goes on. You take a team headed toward the playoffs and then this??? And no I am no Cleveland fan, but come on, this was one of the dumbest decisions ever made.

Is it just me, but is the media out of control??? So one team does a great job one week and busts the next. Hey, they are the best.

zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

I never want to see the name Johny football again. Or whatever his name is. Do not know, or care to. But would like the media to turn to something more significant.

It was beautiful watching him play. Loved seeing him do the same playground football that he got away with in college cost him in this game.

After the game he said a throw a pop Warner footballer should not make and I thought... It's all you did I college and your are still doing it...

JF is a rookie and was making just his first start. We knew he would make some mistakes. But that performance had some questioning wether or not he could play in this league earlier today. I really don't care one way or another what kind of future he has I'm just very glad it isn't in Dallas.

Yes, but how much of that is the team and how much is Hoyer? Hoyer didn't just all of a sudden turn into suck. Manziel posted a QBRT of 1. I think that Cleveland made a huge mistake there. Maybe it wouldn't have mattered but if that happened in Dallas, our Fan base would be storming Jerry's Office right now. Just a bad decision from that organization IMO. If Hoyer losses that game last week, then you can play Manziel and see what you have. I don't think you do that when you are still in the running for a playoff spot. JMO

Take from it what you will, but here are Hoyer's stats this year

3192 passing
55.3% comp rate
11 TDs
12 ints
76.3 QB rating

so much better than Eli was last year, but still below average. LOL

BTW, In the 16 games that Hoyer has started for Cleveland, the team record is:
10-6
