March Madness

I'm looking forward to seeing the Coogs play Friday vs Maryland. I know the odds are long for the coogs but getting hot at the right time does not hurt.

I want to see Houston win. One of Maryland's players talked junk about CUSA and Memphis last year before we played them. He wasn't talking much after the game. :muttley:

Speaking of Memphis, I can't find them on my bracket anywhere.

Thx for the luv, Yeager. I'm hoping Coogs beat them. It'll be sweet.

How can you possibly pin wins or losses on a coach who isn't COACHING??? It's a no-brainer. He didn't get credit for the Gaudet wins either. If Duke had gone on to win the NCAA title that year, you wouldn't want that counted as a title for Coach K.

If Duke had gone on to win that year, it's a given that the year would not have been wiped out either.

This year is on Roy, though much of the early part of the year, Roy Williams was not with the team and it showed. That's no excuse, just a fact of the matter.

During Smith's years, there were a significant amount of years where the field was only 32 and many years where the field was as small as 22-25 teams. While Mike Krzyzewski has been head coach at Duke, the majority of time (80-82 only 48 teams) the field has been 64-65 teams. Point being, Krzyzewski might pass Smith but there were many many years where it was much more difficult to make the tourney then it is now.

Winning your conference tournament > Losing in the first round of your conference tournament

I guess but they did better in the regular season in a tougher conference.

Got nothing to do with it. The selection commitee doesn't view it like that.

Syracuse is winning it all.

Kentucky won't reach the final 4.

Take it to the bank.
I'm shocked to say this, but I agree. Maybe I need to rethink.

If that center for Syracuse isn't healthy they aren't winning anything.

Well, I've seen all of the top teams play this year multiple times and to me, the best team looks to be Kansas. The Big 12 could be a tough out this year with KSt., Texas and Kansas.

yet they aren't supposed to look at the last 12 games in isolation, it's a new criteria for them.

Syracuse >> Dook

Onuaku. I think they said he might miss the first 2 games.

This was supposed to be an anti-March Madness thread. What happened? :laugh2:

You guys enjoy it.

The BYU vs. Florida game went to double overtime and was a blast to watch. I love the NCAA tourney.
