Rod Marinelli, bro.
George Selvie and his band of misfits seem to be flourishing under his tutelage.
exactly. So assuming Spencer is healthy, he could be a 10-12 sack guy again.

I wouldn't have too high of hopes for Spencer in his 1st NFL game in a long time. If he can get out there for 15 snaps without set backs I'll be happy. He'll have to be eased into the lineup, and even then you don't know what kind of explosiveness he will have.
I think many are making his injury to be worse than it is.
I'll never forget when Greg Ellis came back after his injury and had some of the best seasons of his career.
I hope Spencer does the same.
For some reason though I felt like Ellis might have taken some Vitamin S to help his recovery.
Personally I think Spencer simply playing again is a big deal.
How many "experts" here proclaimed – "Oh Spencer will never play again in the NFL."
I know it was a lot of them.
He had a 20% chance to get back to NFL caliber play on that knee.
The outcome is not yet certain -- might not last the season.
I think there is some of that. From what I've read on it, the operation works or it doesn't. From there on in, it's the time needed to build up the muscle and recondition the body for football.
Despite giving up 400 yds to the Rams last week - the defense has done a good job of keeping the 'Boys in games so far this season. Take away the 100-or-so yards gifted to the Rams by Claiborne via completion or penalty last week and the D was actually pretty decent.
So far, the Defense has played better than the sum of their parts. I believe the coaching they receive on that side of the ball is much improved this season and they'll get big plays from some otherwise overlooked sources on the front seven.
With Dallas at home, I see this as a 'pick 'em'... I don't see the Cowboys getting blown out.

That's Spencer's career sack line when he's been healthy. People around here assume he's the 11 sack guy and boy just wait until he comes back. If he can be healthy, look out. But more evidence points to a 5 or 6 sacks guy which makes him a very marginal pressure player on a defense and a terrible first option pressure player.
Then you add in the injury.
Honestly, I don't even care that he's back. That's how little I expect.
I agree. I think Dallas defense will give up yards and they will struggle but to me the key is can you come up with big plays to help the team. Thus far they have.
A couple of turnovers and 3rd down stops will do wonders Sunday evening. I expect us to give up 30 it's that 40 number I want to avoid. The closer to 30 the better I like our chances.
Micky said on talkin Cowboys that the debit had filled in. He didn't elaborate but that sounds like the cartridge grew back in the place of the injury as is the goal of the surgery.
