I will admit at times it looks awful. However, similar to 2014 this D makes plays at the best times. The flush out by English Crawford made Gabbert hurry the throw. The Wilcox cover of Kerly?? Who the hell in there right mind would think he could cover him!?!?! But again, in the 4th straight game made a huge play!

Wilcox looked better in coverage than Carr has. Carr sucks.

We had our version of Haley last year in Hardy. Didn't work.
Hardy was never Haley. But, both Hardy and Garrett should have found a way to make it work. Johnson or old Tom would have made Hardy a pro bowler. Garrett is weak and failed the interests of the club by losing Hardy. He was, like the man or not, the best defender the club had. Too bad.

This team is much better than last year's. A Hardy like player might be a difference maker with this group. Of course, his latest drug arrest has most likely ended his NFL career. Freeney is a much better pass rusher than Hardy ever thought of being, and that is what we need more than anything.

Cowboys need LB'rs and DE's this offseason

I think DT, CB and S are pretty good

Weak links are LB and DE

Was 93 a mistake signing? Dude hasn't really shown anything at all.
93 and 58 are a disappointment. Would like to see a lot more of 75 and 95. Maliek Collins and Terril McClain I do like inside.

Sadly I think we need to move on from that idea.

If he can't stop the drugs right before the draft...if he can't stop after multiple suspensions...I fear he's got an overwhelming addiction...or just doesn't care so much about ball.

Beyond that...he was the size of a wide receiver out there.

I don't think I've ever seen a 6-man blitz so completely stone-walled as I did today on that first Niner score. Six guys and they didn't even get halfway to the quarterback.

Is this your first year as a Cowboys fan?

I kid, but if feels like we've been one of the worst blitzing teams in the last 20 years.

Sorry but this might be the weakest and silliest post I've ever read on this forum.

There are 32 teams desperate to win and more than a few GMs that are willing to move into high risk, high maintenance with character, drugs, etc. Why don't you list the teams that took an interest in even giving Hardy a chance...a tryout...an interview? 32 GMs and 32 coaches and 32 franchises are all failures...all too "weak" to fix Greg Hardy?

I don't care much if Garrett stays or gets fired some day. He's certainly not an elite coach. But trying to blame Garrett for Hardy's issues is beyond desperate and tells me you've lost all objectivity on anything related to coaching the Cowboys.

The why haven't the Patriots or Bengals signed him yet? They takes risks on players.

It's because Hardy is a psychopath.

Hardy's failure is not on Garrett.

With this young core, adding a legitimate DL and additional WR gets us in the Super Bowl conversation.

Sadly, I don't think it's this year, but it's coming soon.
Let's sign Josh Gordon and see what happens.

We can have him live with Wells and he can keep a daily diary.

Championship.

Add signing Hardy for the last 12 games and I can see a visit next year to the White House with President Trump.

Agreed. As soon as I saw that I said "touchdown"...it was pretty said and I wonder what it is about Rod's blitz schemes thatvhey so rarely result in pressure of any note. Touch since rushing 4 is not going to cut it either. Here's hoping DLaw comes back like a man possessed.

Problem is that both starting CBs are FAs.

The defense is much better than 2014. When Romo returns you'll see that this team is much better than the 2014 team. We should already be in the Super Bowl conversation.

This Cowboys team is 15th in yards allowed per game and 10th in points allowed per game (without several key players).

They were 19th and 18th respectively in 2014.
