Marist Liufau any future

He is clearly a better fit for ILBer than EDGE in this defense IMO (YMMV). The second they said they were moving him, as often is the case, I felt he was likely gone. It just didn't make sense to me based on his fit and perhaps more importantly the depth chart at the time they made the announcement. The big thing in his favor is that he is one of our better special teams players, so that is his path to a roster spot and certainly his path to a game day spot.

yes.
he was one of my favorite players at notre dame.
sacks.
take aways.
he was always around the ball.
and he has shown flashes.
he's got the best punch out of our defenders.
still growing.
he's worth the effort.

I think that's a bad spot for him

I saw initially they were gonna put him there, but really assumed once we added a few bodies he'd slide in behind Overshown.

I don't think he makes it to week 1 without getting dealt. Probably for another guy in year 3 or possibly year 4 that's in danger of being cut, and I can see him having more success elsewhere.
Our bottom of the roster EDGE and ILBer positions are up for grabs. If we feel like we have no interest in keeping him, what trade value could he possibly have?

Hate to say it, but I doubt it. Doesn't seem to be able to play assignment sound football. Sad, because this kid has the necessary passion and toughness.
Yeah, he feels like an undisciplined player. He was interesting when he did play the since he had the high motor among a defense with barely a pulse. It seemed a little reckless though. A few times I had to yell at the tv that the play is over lol.

Another lovely third rounder.

IF he learns some discipline as regards playing, then he could be a real contributor. He was one of our leading tacklers on special teams so that is a factor helping him stick this year. The ST coach (who for some unknown reason is still here) really likes him so that is a plus for making the roster.
He has got a skill set that can be very useful if A he is used right and B he does what he is supposed to do

The Charles Snowden signing might be the replacement piece 6’6” 250 . Remember at Edge if you can’t get to the QB at least throw your arms up for a deflection or to obscure the QB’s window.

players in his position... roster wise, not position... are traded all the time for each other

it'll probably be for some other player in danger of getting cut where we are a bit thin

You know something that CP doesn't?
No, but I can have an opinion on a fan message board, no? I didn't say he was clueless or didn't know what he was doing. If he doesn't get dealt and contributes as an edge, that's great. If I'm right, it's not like that's an indictment on him. No coach is gonna bat 1.000

At this point I would consider him a bust for a 3rd round pick.

He’s showed nothing but enthusiasm.

I gotta say that the large mass of hair moving is quite impressive......even when its going in the wrong direction.

Guy has zero feel for the game. No instincts. Just runs around and accomplishes nothing. Good bye.
