They made if farther then they had before- BUT rememeber they went ALL THE WAY TO THE SB WITHOUT TO. AND LOST WITH HIM.
SO I say prove that TO got them farther. They made 4 straight NFC Champ games- and finally won the last one WITHOUT TO PLAYING.

TO personally turned a Super Bowl team into a joke. Moss hasn't gotten to that level yet. But I wouldn't argue too much against a 5 rating except that it's my damn scale.:D

You leave out the fact that TO was one of the main reasons they went to the superbowl. To say TO personally turned that team into a joke is in my opinion wrong it has more to do with injuries and the fact that Philly has been so heavy handed in dealing with players contracts (westbrook, Simon, Trotter) coming home to roost, in my opinion the Westbrook negotiations took a lot out of that team and letting Simon walk did not help either, players notice these things.

TO wasn't THE MAIN reason they got to the SB.... He missed the last five or six games of that season.... remember?????? Thanks RW!

The game he DID play in (the SB) they LOST!!!!!! Superman just couldn't do enough!!!!!!

I know I know everyone hates TO but you have to admit he brought a swagger to that team that was not there before and his play enabled them to have home feild advantage. Even the most ardent TO hater has to admit without him in the SB they are not even in that game. My real point was that the eagles have much more chemistry problems on that team than just TO and management has a lot to do with that.

Any team that signs TO will suddenly develop chemistry problems.

Why don't the NFL just ban T.O. from football? It would make life such easier around here;)

Yeah OK He played how many years in SF with no chemistry problems and I do not recall any problems his first year in Philly. Beleive me if a team develops chemistry problems with TO coming to there the team had problems to begin with.

Lets be real about this were talking about teams full of grown men is TO some kind svengali were he can just come in and wave a wand and all of a sudden your team is in disarray:cool:. Yes TO can be a complete A-hole but you people give him to much credit he can be a disruption but with strong leadership he can be handled.

All of this is about money and I do not feel TO is going to chance losing anymore money being that this will possibly be the last contract he will get.

I think you are being kind to Moss...I'd give him a 5 on that scale. He is at least half as bad as TO but he has been injured this year and that takes some of the starch out of them.

Moss bumped a traffic cop with his car. He sprayed water or referee. TOTAL lack of respect for people. He bad mouthed his former QB(like TO). Didnt he bad mouth his coach to last year??? This year when asked about Norv. He made a face and then worded it very carefully. He indirectly bad mouthed Norv.

You could EASILY say he is worse than TO. I give Moss and TO both 10's. Just two different types of "10's"....

TO's presence exposed both San Francisco's and Philadelphia's existing flaws-- one had a old and weak QB and one had a QB whose huge contract had secretly divided the team.

In Dallas he would call out Bledsoe in much the same way Keyshawn did early in the year (ironically vs. Philadelphia). He would scream about playing time in much the same way Antonio Bryant and Greg Ellis did.

But he wouldn't throw a uniform at his coach like Bryant or take plays off like Randy Moss or be ineffective on the field at times like Keyshawn or Elliss.

Heck, IMO he'd be a great Cowboy BECAUSE he calls out his teammates and management. Dallas is a different situation-- Bledsoe is no Jeff Garcia and Jerry Jones is known for paying players fairly. TO's more than just a show-off and loud mouth; he brings far more to the field and to practice than he takes away off the field. Just don't let the ESPN cameras in and we'll be fine!

Good post.

All of this nonsense about him ripping the team apart is basically the lowbrow assumption made by fans who quite honestly don't know the whole truth.

There are many people who have supported Owens, you just don't hear much from them because that would not be controversial enough.

Of course he behaves like a horse's rump. But he is far from this demonic franchise-eater that people get hysterical about and vow to renounce their fanhood over.

The two teams, Minnesota and Atlanta were nothing in comparison to the teams like the Ram, Buccaneer and Panther teams that beat them in year's past.

I could not agree with you more that is exactly how i saw both situations. I think TO could have handled the situations better because its going to cost him in the long run but i think Philly got what they deserved they knew they had him over a barrell due to the baltimore fiasco and signed him to a below market contract and it came back to bite them in the A**.

I think Philly is still in some trouble I think that team is still divided and the players are starting to see that there is no loyalty from the front office unless your name is Mcnabb.

That last point is very true.

Owens did not cause the issue as much as he drew attention to it. The support he got from teammates like Jeremiah Trotter speaks to that fact.

I think Owens Forced the issue and he put Mcnabb under the spotlight which in my opinion he did not handle well (Mcnabb) I feel he could have contained a lot off this by going to TO and discuss it man to man but by trying to be "above it"
he might have lost a lot of the team IMO.

Apples and oranges.

Key was never the problem TO was in Philly.

Parcells had knowledge of Key and KNEW he could control him.

TO will not be a Dallas Cowboy, much of the media hype linking him to us is wishful thinking. This team is on the cusp of being back and many national media would like nothing more than for TO to put an end to that trip back to the top.

All I'm saying is that BP will bring up Key if the Dallas media gives him problems about talking to TO. And I think Dallas will talk to TO because - as you said - unlike Key where BP KNEW him, BP will talk to TO to KNOW MORE about him.

I'm not advocating for TO to come here. I'm just saying what I think will happen, whichis that Jones and BP will bring TO in for a visit. Read the writing on the wall. When BP was asked about TO he never doscounted the player. And Jones has been on record as of late saying that WR is a position he hopes to address this offseason.

Writing on the wall!!!

Parcells has already stated he had no interest in T.O.

Jerruh on the other hand is a diffrent story. At this point anything he does isn't a shocker to me anymore.
