55 catches is a substantial contributions from a guy who is also an outstanding blocker. He was the 2nd leading receiver on his team.

That's not bombing out. It is putting up numbers that put you outside of the salary range your present team is willing to spend.

I think it says more about Bennett's work demeanor than his salary range. If your going to have that devil-may-care, out-there personality, you better be a great player to make teams overlook it (or come really, really cheap).

Well it's a good thing that the Giants didn't waste a 2nd round pick on this bum. :)

No, if we draft good O Linemen we don't need him and this kid Hanna....He can actually catch the ball. But I wouldn't mind seeing some Cap'n Crunch Raps again....no no no, no Marty B

They got Pascoe, a Restricted Free Agent to sign for $900k.

His RFA tender would have cost 1.3 mill.

That's how much they liked him. Not even enough to pay the RFA tender.

I expect Bennett got a lowball offer and knew he could get more on the open market

They liked him enough to keep him employed.
In the end the Giants let go of Marty because he was so helpful to them.

We'll agree to disagree, as all Fresno State players are the greatest, even the camp fodders. David Carr > RG3

No, Pascoe liked being a Giant enough to talk a lowball offer.

It was a huge loss when MB left.

As Witten continues to age, would it be a good idea to bring MB back at the right price?

He does know our system already and could pick up right where he left off.
Doesn't it tell you something when they choose not to bring someone back who is the second leading receiver on your team? He's a chronic underacheiver who just burned another bridge.

If not for the potentially dynamic weapon which we are developing in Hannah I`d have been happy to bring Marty back.

If we were going to run full-time 2-TE offense there`d be a role for him here as depth as well as a blocking TE.

I doubt it happens but the kid is a good player with some limitations. He is not an elite receiving weapon and has a bad case of the dropsies.
