If the Pats really wanted to turn the league upside down, I'd love to see them put Brady on the trade market.

Would be interesting to see how much teams would over-pay for him. Would make the Hershall trade look like nothing.
I think that would be a red light that he's hurt beyond repair.

Cassel on the other hand would fetch a possible number one or a couple of number twos should desperate teams get in a bidding war for him.

Philly and Washington for example or San Francisco and even Arizona since Warner can't play forever.

Cassel is starting and playing quite well. Meanwhile the guys he backed up all through college. They are not doing so well. :lmao2:
It6 would be funny to see Arizona trade for him.:p:

Romo was like a 4 year starter at a small school which helped a lot playing time

Sure. But that doesn't mean every small school kid is a great pickup. Probability-wise, you let the big schools do their talent evaluation, develop the player, and if you need a late rounder a backup at a top school is almost always a better bet than 4-year starter at a small school.

The Pats are probably cheating again.

My thoughts exactly. I know their schedule is sorta weak, but still...I would not doubt this at all. Bellicheat or whatever you want to call him will always be a dirty cheater and cheat to win. Cheater.

Maybe, but if Belichick knows how to do anything better than cheating, its coaching a football team.

Pats are kinda screwed but if you read my earlier post, due to Staph Brady may need to have operation redone and his 2009 season at risk.

My moles at foxboro say they are looking at young Back up QB's in Free Agency with some starting experience in case they can't resign Casell

This is true. It's just a shame that that is now, and forever will be, over shadowed by the fact that the guy also likes to cheat and lacks any measure of class.

Not so sure about that Kitna has been a solid backup most his career and a starter (mediocre one) small school

Mccown of the Dolphins was small scholl + big school he is a hybrid

Delhoume was a backup and converted himself into a starter and beat US as the backup QB in New Orleans

There are more out there but funny that how well the little guy does sometimes. Maybe it is because they have more to prove everyday in the NFL because of the Bias that you have shown just like the NFL has done in the past.

Last I looked very few Division 1a schools really teach good football all the way around. In fact a lot of large schools have went to these gmick offenses that do not help teach the QB and they have to relearn everything and struggle.

What you do is look for a guy you think can be developed into a starter over time no matter which school big or small draft them and teach them than use it for a draft pick.

Greenbay has done it for years
