That is funny, now that you mention it.

Though he probably just came up with the idea trying to think of the best way to poke fun at the Finish the Fight videos. The funny material's a lot easier when the team loses more games.

It's the same mentality we see when a player gets injured or is trying hard but just isn't very good. Vultures are waiting to swoop in.

And then we build up guys like R. McClain and Hardy who have all the talent in the world and just don't care to participate in the the team, though they're happy enough to collect the paychecks. I don't get it at all.

Don't get me wrong: I'm thrilled the guys like Nick Hayden are done here and we're not filling starting or key roles with street free agents because they have a lot of heart. Give me talented and skilled athletes with heart any day. Those guys need to be chased off the roster when they're here.

I just don't get the disrespect that comes with it. The league is hard enough. The idea of fat and untalented fans *****ing about you and calling you a sissy because your hamstrings keep tearing when you're an overachieving dude from Eastern Michigan or wherever who'd do just about anything for that shot at the roster boggles me.

Now, I can sit here all fat and untalented and yell about Rolando McClain being a giant loser, because he is. That makes sense. Right?

Players who are constantly injured have nobody but themselves to blame. They must be doing something wrong. :facepalm:
 
the nfl has had lots of matt Johnson's try its either they cant stay healthy or they are just not good enough most of the time they are just not good enough

Absolutley not. That was David Buehler. A lot of people remember Buehler trying to hang on by trying to make his injuries look worse than they were.

Yea it's kinda removing the human from the player. But when you sign up you become a talking point. It makes more sense to me than the people who protected rob petiti from criticism Bc his dad read the site.

I remember after that draft saying Johnson and Wilber would never play a snap for this team. Guess I was half right

Yeah, he did and we had a segment of members who were absolute turds towards him. They didn't like that we shielded him just like we'd shield anyone who could provide a certain amount of insight.

wow, this whole thread kind of got me thinking. I've made fun of Matt Johnson before and kind of feel bad about now that Idgit called me out. Well he didn't call me out directly but all the people that make fun of Matt Johnson got called out which I'm in that group. I was thinking that on every team you got the players that get he most publicity. Like for us it's Romo, Dak, Zeke, Dez, etc. These guys do interviews and you get a glimpse of their personalities and it's easy for me to see them as people. Now the bottom roster guys are almost strangers wearing a shirt. These are the guys that are easy to make fun of because they're practically strangers to us and we don't know their particular stories as well as we do the guys that get interviewed. Like Matt Johnson can have the same passion for the game as Dez but Dez gets interviewed and we can see that passion but Matt Johnson only gets written about because of his injuries. I'm going to start reminding myself that every player that comes through has a dream and passion and I'm going to work on my sensitivity when I get frustrated with players. They're human and they have feelings, and hearing that rob Petiti's dad read this board makes me think tat the player's families could be hurt by what is being said. That's not cool.
