It ends it for me.

Now I need a new campaign and sig line.....

You were a most excellent advocate for him.

The poor guy let himself down and a lot of other people too. Including you, to a small degree.

It's too bad, really. The guy's got a lot of talent.

Yeah, it's always sad to see talent utterly wasted.....

I personally think Stash handled the entire "campaign" for him with class, and has been classy in this thread as well.

No one should hang this albatross around his neck.

Thanks buddy!

I appreciate that.

If people want to jump on me personally about his screwup, they certainly can.

But if they had known about his drug issues way back then, I wish they would have let me know so I didn't waste so much time and energy.

The situation is disappointing more than anything.

Always tough watching someone who 'doesn't get it' waste their God-given talents.

The 2 guys who always bash guys when they get in trouble, I wonder how they will respond to this thread. Well, one of them did respond and I'm proud of him because atleast he's consistant and that's doomsday101, the other I won't mention, but I wonder why he hasn't resonded yet.

IMO, he's done drugs, okay. Pick him up low-risk trade/contract or whatever, give him another chance, if he screws it up then it's low-risk, cut your losses.

But anyone that gives us a chance to get better, I'd like to turn that stone over, with caution of course.

We shall see if Jerry Jones risks something for Matt Jones, but for my daughter's sake, I hope that Jerry doesn't grab another coke head to ad to our team :)

How many guys on the team do we do this with? Sorry I don't want him he was not that great in Jacksonville which is why he was considered on the bubble to begin with so it is not like we are even talking a great talent but even if he was I don't think the cowboys need to pick up every player who is getting in to trouble. I like having players we can depend on and I don't think the Dallas Cowboys should be the halfway house of the NFL.

Typical media agenda (idiots)

MATT “AND COKE” JONES?

Posted by Mike Florio on July 10, 2008, 10:59 a.m.
When we saw that Jags receiver Matt Jones had been busted for possession of a controlled substance, we assumed that it was marijuana. Especially since the guy is so, you know, mellow.
As it turns out, Jones (allegedly) had cocaine.
While making the arrest, police had to draw their guns on Jones, who didn’t comply with an instruction to put his hands where the police could see them. (Then again, maybe the police didn’t realize that those two bricks were Jones’ hands . . . rim shot.)
Jones has been charged with felony drug possession. That’s seven points for the Jags in Turd Watch II.
It’ll be interesting to see whether the Jags decide based on this incident that it’s time to set him free. And, if they do, it’ll be interesting to see whether this former Arkansas Razorback (who apparently knows a thing or two about razor blades) might land on a team owned by another former Razorback.

Thats ok, keep that **** coming because we have it covered baby.
