For those fans of Maurice, me included, he was sighted in LV "working out" at
a night club there, guess this is why BP passed on him....

How could we have "passed" on him unless we wanted to choose him in the second round?

Bill Parcells didnt pass on him, Denver took him at the end of the 3rd Round.

I've seen perennial Pro Bowlers Donovan McNabb and Brian Dawkins at Dream Nightclub in D.C., also fellow Maryland alum Pro Bowl DT Kris Jenkins there as well. Pro Bowlers Orlando Pace, Jonathan Ogden, Ray Lewis, Clinton Portis even the great Michael Jordan all have frequented Dream.........I guess being in the club scene should have made teams "pass" on them too.

slick, I don't think those guys had character issues at all. Clarett should be smarter than that.

Um, I think Ray Lewis has had some issues.

Not sure being at a club in LV makes for character issues anyway. MC isn't one of my favorites, but that might be a stretch.

I agree. I mean if the guy shreds a piece of paper wrong, he's killing the environment. Somebody just has to find something to bash the guy.

He's not on our team, so why should we care that he's hanging at the club. He's Denver's problem, not ours.

Agreed. My point was that the club is not synonymous with one having character flaws or being a bad guy.

Completely agree. The nightclub scene is not for me but a players presence (namely Maurice Clarett) in that environment doesn't necessarily mean anything negative. Cut him a little slack. Not much, just enough to honestly show that he's changed or trying to change and then let the Bronco fans worry about his lifestyle.

i like maurice but if it came down to taking him in the 2nd or passing on him... PASS.. lmao wow... no brainer???? i think so.......... no one cares where he was "working out" ... he would have been a bad choice for the team that early in the draft...........

I actually really think Parcells would have drafted the kid.

Parcells told Ed Werder in an interview during the draft on ESPN that he likened Mo Claurett to a dog backed into a corner with no options and was cornered.

Parcells said he liked that part of him :D .

OMG... IN A CLUB? how is he not in prison?

Unless he was skipping minicamp to be in it, what is your point?

As far as I know, going to the club is not against ANY rule in ANY sport.

what a stupid post :(

We took Barber because Clarrett wasn't there, imo. I fully believe in round 4 that we would have taken him. So we missed him by like what, 11 picks or something?
