The biggest national story about this championship is LeBron's/the Heat's failure (and not the Mav's success). I find that tiresome.

The city of Dallas is in a money crunch, but said they would still have a parade. Cuban chimed in and said, "You plan it, and I'll pay for it." Another classy thing from him. It amazes me he did two in a row!

Also, he said he isn't going to get the players championship rings. He said that rings are old-school. He said he is going to take it to the next level.

Whatever that means. I'm thinking I still would want a ring.

Maybe he's going to get them huge gold medallions to wear around their neck, or maybe a belt like in boxing.

That's it! Will be a great conversation piece whether wearing with shorts and a T-shirt or to black tie affairs.

Problem is, you can't wear it out. Especially to basketball functions later in life. It would be funny as hell to see someone giving their HoF speech wearing one of those though! :laugh2:

I saw this posted on facebook and it cracked me up so I thought I'd share it.

BREAKING NEWS! Just announced today is Lebron James Day. Everyone gets to leave work 12 minutes early.

That made me laugh.

I think if Jerry is going to follow anything it should be that he needs to defer to the Coach and the players.

and recognize that chemistry and culture matter (as Cuban emphasized) but Jerry has already stated these things don't matter

I thought is was great how deflated the Heat were in the final two minutes. They were shell shocked. Great game and fantastic series.

From a Die hard Mav and Cowboy fan. It was sweet indeed. Almost or equally as sweet as the 93 Cowboys superbowl. From following both teams LOWs, and many lows there were, it was so sweet to finally get experience a championship.

I mean seriously, I endured the 89 season of the Cowboys winning 1 game. I followed the second worst NBA team in history (92 Mavs) when the won 11 games. Watching them slowly progress and decline and progress again to get to the ultimate goal was finally worth it.

How sweet it is for both of my sports love to win a championship.
