When national sports pundits who are notorious for denying some of our players credit begin to acknowledge who Dak is, it’s time for the haters on this board to recognize they are extreme outliers, and their opinion does not matter in the least. It’s like telling them water is wet and them just digging their heels in the sand and saying, “No it’s not!”. They’re like petulant children throwing a temper tantrum because they didn’t get their way. No national sports journalist is going to risk embarrassing themselves on live tv with such a comparison unless this were the consensus opinion of Dak amongst many in media and the league.

There is a middle ground between haters and fanboys. Dak is in season 6 of his career and he's got 1 playoff win and .500 record as a QB. So what credit would you like conferred on him? Should the credit outweigh his actual accomplishments on the field?

Obviously its a stretch to compare him to Peyton.

But you can see how he now commands the offense. He knows it as well as Moore does.

Still holds onto the ball too long sometimes. But all QB's do that when things don't unfold as suspected. He has been very good so far this year

But there will be people here who will NEVER be convinced. It's a waste of time to even try

He has the second fastest release in the NFL. Yet another example of pulling uneducated nonsense out of your butt to suit an agenda.

Manning didn’t win a playoff game in 3 playoff starts until his 4th in 2004. Manning didn’t win a super bowl until nearly a decade after he was drafted. You guys are so blinded by Dak hatred that it shines a glaring spotlight on your hypocrisy and double standards.

Dude, you are way too sensitive. I'm a big Dak fan. He should have thrown the ball away in the end zone the other night.

You are so hell bent on attacking anti Dakkers that you also attack posters like me who really like Dak.

You need to settle down

Peyton was the first overall pick in the draft, meaning the team was complete and utter garbage starting a rebuild, Dak was a fourth round pick starting on a ready made playoff team.....but carry on with your blind comparison!

As far as comparing where both guys were at the same stage of the career, gotta go with Dak, Peyton had how many INT's and an inferior comp% and passer rating.

Hell, Peyton had Harrison. Bruce. Edgerrin James and a little later Dallas Clark.

Do doubt Dak surpasses Peyton long range but.....hmmmm?

Dak was a 4th round draft pick to a poorly coached team that led them to the playoffs in his rookie season and went blow for blow against the great Aaron Rodgers. Carry on with your blind hatred.

If you can't see a good QB in front of your face, you have zero credibility. Oh, wait...I forgot who I was talking too, you have ZERO CREDIBILITY! Shoo fly!

I get you're point, but fans constantly pointing out a bad play, which even HOF players have, gets old.

Has nothing to do with hatred, that's only in your mind but compare Apples to Apples, not Apples to banana's when it comes to the first four years of individual players carrier ..

I do believe we earned the 4th pick in the draft that year... not quite playoff ready.

It’s called historical context. Not all great QBs win overnight. There are multiple variables around them that create success or failure. In Peytons first playoff game he went 19 for 42 and didn’t throw a TD pass. Imagine if he were a Cowboy. The ignoramuses on this board would have written him off immediately.
