I don’t know any athlete to have knee surgery and it be fine. Not saying it will stop me from signing or trading for him but it would certainly lower his trade value for me anyway. I’m not trading two firsts.

It is a minimally invasive procedure on the meniscus, not reconstruction. I am not saying there isn’t other issues but this one is benign.

Like I said above the injury itself isn’t stopping from trading for him. It’s the principle of it. I’m not trading two firsts for a 28 year old who is coming off knee surgery. I personally can’t. Jerry probably won’t give a damn.

1000%....add age and only two years left on his current deal. No way in hell I'm trading two firsts.In fact, as stated earlier, I have reservations about trading our own 1st. Ok with GB 1st and perhaps a 2027 pick.

You can afford to pay both of them. Crosby’s contract isn’t bad. The question is what would it take to acquire Crosby. I would happily give them our best #1 this year and next year’s 2.

But resign Pickens unless there’s another vet you’d like just as much. Year 2 in the offense should be even better for Pickens.

I don't think they've figured out yet that if Crosby can make our defense decently good, they could pivot and use losing Pickens as an excuse for why the team is still bad.

Nope but he won't hurt. I want to see as much commitment to the Defense as we've seen for Offense. The offense commitment has really not gotten us very far for like 25 years.
