Id trade our 1st if that got it done. If you want to legitimately compete, Crosby is doing more for you than that 1st will. Plus those two years are very very reasonable

It is a minimally invasive procedure on the meniscus, not reconstruction. I am not saying there isn’t other issues but this one is benign.

This. Not even advocating for a trade but it’s a trim. This is something that if they were in contention he could easily play through and have in the offseason, in fact many players routinely have these done in off season.

Hendrickson is also older and would eat up a much bigger chunk of cap. Crosby is under contract for 4 more seasons at an AAV under 30.

Where are you getting two years left on his current deal? He is under contract until 2030
